The Pella magazine can be tricky to position correctly, but I think your problem the lack of a blade already in the razor. It requires much more force to load an injector that doesn't already have a blade in place to slide out. The spring tension on the head is considerable.

Martin is onto something! The RT's had a slightly different blade tray than the later SS's and have a different feel to them. There were some transition SS's that had the RT blade tray and shave the same, at least for me. I really like my RT's and the short run of these historic shavers adds dimensi...

I have a few and some have the red anodized ferrule. Give it a try, but be careful. The Injecto-matics tend to have more of a bite than a Schick Injector.

Kronas are flat out excellent shavers for newbies or grizzled users alike. Definitely one of my favorites.

Yep, that's the one Paul. All mine says on the NOS packaging is "Schick Platinum". I also have a shaver that doesn't have anything printed on it except "Schick" on the case.
