Nothing from Santa ... but round this time of year I always treat myself so last week I got 120ml Histoires De Parfums 1740 Marquis De Sade and next week I'll be getting 100ml Le Labo Patchouli 24 and/or 200ml Chanel Cuir De Russie.

I've always enjoyed your UK/Euro soap and cream reviews on this forum (and others). You have championed their cause and bought them to the attention of a large number of shavers who might never have even heard of them otherwise.

Keep up the good work chap!

Welcome Don,

You're on the roller coaster now so just make sure you're strapped in and have secured all valuables.

Some of us hop on for the odd 'once round, and no more' and some just keep flashing by screaming "weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Faster!!!"

It's all good though.

Enjoy.

There can't be a British DE shaver who hasn't gone to Paul for their stuff at least once.

The original, and still the best.

Let's just get one thing clear: The fact a smartphone is a "phone" is somewhere down the list, in fact making calls has become so secondary that cell providers are giving minutes away and charging mostly for data. What it is foremost for me: Mobile internet platform, mobile computing plat...

Yep.

I change mine once a month and that covers daily face shaves and twice-a-week head shaves ... but I reckon it'd still keep going for longer than that.

Fair dues, I only ever do one pass ATG.

The thought of trying the Fusion ProGlide fills me with more dread than when I first approached the DE, but I suppose I'll have to try it, just because. Using the ProGlide is a completely different experience to using the original Fusion. Chalk and cheese. I could only use the 'old' Fusion on my he...

I have about 200 of these little gems stockpiled.

Well, at £0.49 a stick ... that's $0.80 ... it'd be rude not to.

I suppose to us Brits it's like Williams is to US shavers ... 'cept Palmolive actually works.

Leather you say? That just happens to be my all-time favourite 'note'. My favourite Leathers at the moment are Chanel Cuir De Russie, Histoires De Parfums 1740 and Le Labo Patchouli 24 (it's not patchouli ... it's leather). All of these are outrageously expensive, I mean seriously ... but their pric...

Your conditions, and the use of cartridge razors are not mutually exclusive for most blokes.

But, as you say, YMMV ... or "Horses For Courses" as they say round 'ere.

The Hydro and Fusion ProGlide are (in my experience) the very best shaving tools ever created ... with the ProGlide just pipping the Hydro because of the lube in the Hydro. Pretty much killed my interest in DEs on the spot. So much so that I finally sold my last remaining DE and blades last week. Th...

Nice when you can buy stuff made in your own country.

I like Susnpel. They are made about 7 miles from my house. The new Sea Island cotton briefs at £85 ($140?) are a little luxury ... but I say you're in your pants a long time so you might as well be comfortable.

I don't think Movember is too concerned about raising money, to be honest.

My younger brother used to wear that and Cacharel.

I wore Aramis 900 and Antaeus.

Our older brother wore Kouros.

Even in our early teens we knew what smelled nice.

Personally I own several straight razors but only a couple of Aston Martins.* (*While the straight razors are full size, the Aston Martins are 1/32 scale and run on a slot car track - including a DB5 with an ejector seat). I think I might have posted this before, but a colleague of mine has a frien...
