I used to shave every day with a straight, but having moved to NJ a year ago and commuting to NYC every day (which is a pain by the way), I haven't had time, so have been using a DE. Just bought a feather AC to celebrate a great year and I really like it. I finding I get a very nice 1 pass or 2 pass...

I don't really think QED is particularly slick either. Nor are my other glycerines. In fact, it's kind of "sticky" in that it seems to grab the stubble and hold it up for me to slash off. Seems slicker after first pass. I find the cushioning fine and just find I can get really close comfy ...

I have used the SCS Bulgarian Rose AS Milk - not available now but it was great. Also used SCS Lime AS Milk and Splash - really liked them too but the Bulgarian Rose was super nice. I now have the Sahara AS balm and it's fabulous - a little more "scrub" like feel to it and very protective....

Many! Beauty Encounter, Parfum1, Fragrancenet, Scentiments, Scented Monkey to name a few of the discounters. Others too that carry more upscale fragrances. Plus the usual for shaving-world favorites. Samples and decants are another area. Looking fo anything in particular? L'Hermes Orange Vert proba...

if you've just used it twice you should just strop it. Stropping of course is a learned skilll so you may roll the edge doing it, but if you commit you'll get there. You should get a good strop and hone (coticule is versatile), otherwise you'll be learning with your hands tied behind your back. But ...

Violet CS soap was one of my first products. I actually quite liked it. I also liked the lime coconut. But I haven't repurchased in five years, so I have to say it's at the end of the day not high on my list.

Lather is thin, but super super slick, so you can get a very nice shave off them.

I have 2 tubes here--the menthol and the moisturizing. The menthol feels nonexistant, and the moisturizing is just so-so. They both have the same scent, which is lousy. I might throw them out. Hey Louee and Crackstar --- I was browsing around recently, and discovered the Menthol version of Real SC....

Well YMMV certainly holds true here. Cella (for me) is a lather bomb in my mug and smells nice enough, Arko? , wrinkles nose in distaste; set my face on fire as well. me too. Arko works well, but leaves my skin dry as if I came in off the desert, and I get the sense I'm using laundry detergent for ...
