Gordon, Your first act now should be to buy some Blenheim Bouquet and revel, no wallow , in it! BTW, interesting to an amateur linguist that an Albertan should use the word 'git'. Obviously a slow-spreading meme with legs. It was a derogatory term in my childhood playgrounds in the sixties. Chris D...

Could that last bit not be a standard for ALL politicians? :D

Speaking of Canadian prime ministers, I remember when John Turner was photographed, apparently indicating to a woman that she should enter the door before him by placing his hand on her rear end. When asked about it, he said, "I've always been a tactile politician." Ah well, we all forget...

If I had to buy new, now... I'd pick up a range Rover Evoque..

Would make a nice replacement for our daily driver, still going strong after 15 years..

Creed pricing- holy shiznit!

So yesterday SWMBO wanted to look for a new scent. We ended up in Holt Renfrew, where after much deliberation she picked a nice scent by Hermes. Next to it was the Creed display, tried a few, not really any to my taste, but when it costs twice as much as the Hermes, well, give me a break. Is it real...

Day 3!

Santal today.. Not sure that this is in the same league as #89 and #127.. Still a nice light scent, not too modern in tone, touches of lavender and a very slight pepper that sadly didn't last all that long. On me this was the shortest lasting of all the Floris tried so far... Will it make the short ...

Floris sampler sampling - Day 2!

Today, it was Special #127. A very, very classy scent, with lavender and geranium mid tones. Very sophisticated. Lovely orange opening, good sillage, and still with me after 4 hours.. Oh my,. the final choice juts got harder..

Floris sampler sampling - Day 1!

Started out with #89 (I mean, how could I not??) Now I know why its a classic. This is not a modern-style fragrance. I had looked around for a rose-type scent for a while, tried Hammam Bouquet, but it dried down to a way too "baby powder-y" scent on me. #89 , though is what I had wanted. T...

Hypothetical, Heretical question.

So.. lets assume some government goombah decides that DE blades are a health and safety hazard - the question becomes:
"What cartridge razor would you use and why?"
No fair saying a straight, that same goombah would go after those as well..

Does it have to be a straight? Perhaps a high-end DE would be better, if your shaving someone else?
