All the best

Is Harris Tweed a fabric, a company, or both? Sort of both. It's not a company per se , but the term describes both the fabric and the association of Scottish weavers who make it. It is made in Scotland of Scottish wool. Anything else is not Harris Tweed (even though it may look the same). Tailors ...

Craig, I just started in on some Pre de Provence Lime Zest that I picked up from Phil. Good lime scent and good lather, but dries my skin a bit compared to my Claus Porto. Overall, I like it, though, since I tend to have oily skin. I think it's just the thing for the upcoming sauna that is Tulsa in ...

I used Institut Karite for the first time yesterday. Initial impressions were that it is indeed a unique soap. Very rich and slick lather. I still need a few more shaves with it, but I like it so far.

OK, I bit and jumped on the shave stick bandwagon this week as well. I've been using the Erasmic stick this week. I also have a Palmolive and Valobra stick to try in the weeks to come. It's my first foray into shave stickdom, and so far I like what I see.

I have used the fougere from Valobra, and as Sam indicated, the 'ferny-ness' is not as sharp or 'green' as say Penhaligons or Trumpers, but it is well made and I enjoyed it. To me, the scent is muskier than that. I didn't think that the lather was as dense and creamy as the Claus Porto (which I'm us...

I miss him too. Reading his posts are a bit like drinking from a fire hose. Fabulously entertaining when he's on a roll. Can you imagine the explosion of posts he will unleash on us when he comes back? All that pent-up self-expression? I'm looking forward to it! It will be epic, for sure... -Carrick

greenlantern, I purchased a bottle of the TOBS Lavender Water from Bull Goose about a month or so ago. I was looking for the same as you - something inexpensive with a nice lavender scent that was light going on. It works as an aftershave (for me) because it contains enough essential oils to soothe ...

I think you'll find that the bands will be just as effective. I went from lifting heavy plates and dumbbells in the gym to P90x with the bands and my progress was remarkable. I was very pleased. A note on the nutritional aspect - don't worry so much about the calories, meals, exact nutritional conte...

Mike, I've done P90X with the bands and, in many ways, they are better that the dumbbells. Don't assume you will get less of a workout. If you stick to the dietary guidelines (Important!) and do the workouts with the bands and the chin-up bar, you will get shredded. I've really enjoyed these workout...

Yes, KAV. My soap epiphany came when I ditched the bottled concoctions and loofah for nice big bar of Claus Porto soap. No more itchy, flaky skin for me. I'd like to try the MR sometime as well as the Volobra Fern. They sound very nice.

Chris, I have used the Deco Lime Basil and liked it very much. I had the big bar and it lasted months. It's a very manly, marine-type scent if I remember. It sorta reminded me a bit of Irish Spring, but better. Very fresh and invigorating.
