If you can part with just English Leather and the Cusson's, let me know. Especially if there's any fragrance left in either.

Re: Do I need a boar brush?

Need is relative. My two Omega 10049 brushes - one white-handled, one black - are tremendous latherers and cost less combined than even some inexpensive synthetics and much less than badgers. I like them as a change of pace with true face feel and some nostalgic connection to the old school. If you ...

Re: Homemade Cedarwood soap - 4 years old

Gary, you can figure it out again. Just start experimenting with some ingredients. My guess is you used something along the lines of 50 percent stearic acid through a combination of stearic and tallow, and that you used coconut oil in a good amount. Fill in the rest with some other fat or use more t...

Re: The state of the current English Shaving soaps

This thread is fairly recent, but it seems we have failed to discuss the new tallow based formula of Cyril Salter's shaving soap which is quite good, and quite economical to buy. Made in England. If you haven't tried it, I suggest giving it a try in pursuit of the best of the current shaving soaps....

Re: My adventure with a Muhle R41

The chin is not really much of an improvement. Perhaps more time with it would yield a different result. That said, the finish is not great....
