I've narrowed it down to Taylors Almond or Coconut. Leaning towards coconut.

Just need a US vendor that sells it & Personna Prep blades.

Nothing is ever easy

I'm an italiain from Brooklyn. I'm almost forced by nature to wear Drakkar

Almond sounds good -- but Razor Blades & more is out of stock. Crud. Anyone else sell them & Personna Lab/Medicals?

Cream Suggestion

OK folks, here's where I am... A recent, extended bout of unemployment has about exhausted my supplies. When I quit buying, my favorite creams & soaps were the Italiano Barbieri, which I believe is now gone. Bought the fat. Hated the fat. Got it to lather. Still hated it. Tried The Shave Dens Li...

For menthol, nothing tops the permafrost Giovanni used to make, but proraso does give a great menthol hit, and also is a good mixer, working with soap very well

I tried the barber route. It didn't end well -- he whipped out a bic disposable :( I've been using the 3 bladed disposables they sell at walmart. They are actually Wilkinsons called the Xtreme 3, & I use the sensitive. Can't recall the exact price as I bought an 8 pack in May, and still have hal...

I'd like to score some of these myself -- Thinking of trying these before I try to get some of the "new" polisilvers in case they are as good as the reputation leads me to believe.

Anybody willing to sell me maybe 5-10?

The Real Shaving Co. shave cream. I get mine from Rite Aid for less than seven dollars for 5.07 oz. Works very well. I have a tube of this from when it first came out. Used once, and put way, way in the back of the cabinet. Hated it. At this point, I figure on ordering some RazoRock & some ToBS...

Well, I just went thru my cabinet, and found some 7 O'Clock yellows in the back. 2 out of a 5 pack left. As I recall, I set them aside for some reason, but I'll try one in the AM. I'm also interested in trying a 7O'Clock blue. Any thought as to creams? I'm looking in the <$10 a tub range, and even t...

I'm back, & I'm stuck

OK folks, veered away from SMF for a while, as life got in the way. Been using my existing supplies and I'm running out. Went to look & see who's got my favorites & they all seem to be discontinued! I was using Polsilvers & Super Iridium blades, and then Tryphon Lime cream. Is there anyt...

Outlet Mall Shaving Swag

SO this last weekend, my wife decided I should chauffeur her, her mother, and her sister to the outlet mall in Williamsburg, VA (we live in Hampton, about 35 miles south of there). She also decided we would get a hotel room there, so they could have a 2 day shopping odyssey. I went with it, mainly t...

I've done mayba a half dozen radios from Crutchfield. Every one included a vehicle specific harness and the radio harness which had to be spliced together.

Those crimps are much cheaper at ye olde WallyWorld, BTW.

I have one I had found at a yard sale as a kid with my Grandfather. I was going to trade it when I first got into DE shaving, but I was advised by a member to keep it. I left it out on my coffee table, and play with it periodically, and think of Grandpa. An old friend of mine drove through last mont...

I had them about 2 years ago on my birthday. I was suffering through them with a liberal dose of Vicodin. Then after about a week of waiting for them to pass (i could feel them slowly traveling from Kidney to bladder) I developed Shingles in the nerves of the area. I took one pill Friday, and then w...

What I did was basically read through Squires reviews, and took some of his best rated blades, and ordered through Gio as my own sampler pack. He threw in a couple of extra blades for me to try when I told him what I was up to. What I then do is rate each blade with a sharpie on the pack, and go bac...

Crud. I was thinking that $0.25 was the perfect price point. Well, I have some Swedes & some super iridiums I was going to try. If neither are those are better, I'm pretty sure I can float $0.35 a blade. Especially considering I used to use Fusion Powers, at about $3 a cartridge, and they both l...

I've mostly been using A/V or a tube of Drakkar Noir A/S cream after shave. I love the smell of the A/V, my wife loves the Drakkar, and I'm rather fond of the fact that it's a cream, not a liquid. Well, a few weeks ago I went down to Florida to visit my parents, and I was taken to my Grandparents ho...

Proraso & Polsilvers

Well, I promised 2clfrwrds a review when he offered to send me some Proraso, and I always live up to a bargain. I also thought I'd give a review of my new favorite blade. As a rule, for summer shaves as of late, I've been mixing MWF and Tryphon Permafrost. To me, it's cool, soothing, and gives a gre...

Used it today after an inspiration from your post. Although by itself it irritates my skin a bit, combined with "The Fat" it made for a very nice superlather it was a rather enjoyable shave, especially for an unseasonably warm Napa morning. Sergio I've been using The Fat with the aforemen...
