Re: OneBlade Razor experience

Hi, I have kept my OB and am still very happy with it. It is very easy to get a BBS shave from but I can achieve this with one of my other 20 or so DE’s, but that has taken many years of wet shaving trial and error to get to that stage. With a OB it’s just like picking up any cartridge razor in term...

Re: OneBlade Razor experience

I’m watching this Topic with real interest , I bought the One Blade razor and I am very happy with it, but the one thing that worries me is the fact that it looked like only the Feather blades were compatible. I am finding that the Feather blades last about 3 shaves a bit like the feather DE blade. ...

Re: Refrigerating an aftershave balm

Hi, I have actually refrigerated this product (both the unscented and the scented) for over 12 months with no problems at all. I did this due to buying in bulk as the shipping to Australia was expensive. I have also done this with other balms and again seen no degradation in performance , consistenc...

Crabtree & Evelyn new scent and range

Has anybody else seen the latest product offering from Crabtree & Evelyn ? They have a new scent out “West Indian Limes” . There is a Shaving soap, shaving cream and aftershave balm as well as a cologne. I received a travel pack as a gift and will let you know what I think once I have used it . ...

I have just purchased both the DR Harris Pink and Milk. I have to say I am disappointed in both. drmoss summary is very accurate and the smell of the milk is very artificial and also reminds me of a baby lotion smell. It works though !. The Pink has been discussed lots here and is very popular with ...

Hi, I agree with what the others are saying and if you are using a Shaving brush it is a waste of time using oil. However Shaving Oil works ok on its own if you are in a real hurry and don’t have time for proper prep. For me it is a better option that Canned goop on its own. It also could be benefic...

I am a fan of the T&H UC cream so I bought the balm as well. My take on it is as follows. The scent is a nice light lavender and the balm is fairly heavy in consistency. I have sensitive skin as well and this is the reason I did not get on with the balm and ended up giving it away , it contains ...

I got this razor direct from Ikon a week ago, It really is a fine razor, well made, solid and although I have not handled a Pils I like the knurling on the Ikon and there will be no rust concerns with the Ikon as the whole thing is made from quality marine grade stainless steel.. I have about 18 DE ...

The only time I would consider using Oil is on its own if I had no brush and cream available. It is better than the canned goop in drugstores. As others have said it does not seem to do anything when you use a good cream and brush, YMMV and its worth experimenting. I have been down that path and won...

Hi, I have both products and would say they are quite different, The Zirth product is quite thick in consistency in comparison to the Clinique PSH. PSH is like a milk and soothe is defianltey a balm. Both work well but and the Zirth is more moisturising for me but defiantly the heavier product. It i...

I have had both the green tub and the white tub. No dispute about the quality of the product and the lather it produces, but I cant get used to the menthol. Even the weaker green tea version in the white tub has too much for my liking. It’s a shame as Proraso make great products. I find the Balm and...

Wear and tear on the face can also depend on the type of brush. If I face lather with a pure badger brush or boar 'ouch'... I can do it for one day then my face knows about it. The softer brushes like my Rooneys and Simpson super are ok and I can do it every day if i like.
