I have several boxes of Gillette “Swede” razor blades. I am open to considering trades. Not interested in cash.
Of particular interest are injector blades or unused high quality shaving soaps.
Thanks,
RR

Re: BB 1818 replacement
I am a fan of 1818 too. I own most of the aforementioned suggestions. To my nose, none are close since 1818 is a sweeter bay rum inspired cologne. It’s has been many years since owning my suggestions, but I recall Calvin Klein Obsession and Vera Wang for Men having a similar vibe to them although I ...

Box of Gifted Creams
Although I am a shaving soap die-hard, by brother became tired of his shaving cream collection and gave me a large box to add to my collection. All kinds of goodies. Trumpers, TOBS, Coates, Harris, C & E, Cella, AoS, different lesser known international creams, etc. No surprises to me... except ...

Re: Oud
If Oud is your thing and don't mind the cost, I suggest Tom Ford Tabacco Oud.
IMO, (and the continual compliments from others), this TF fragrance is fantastic.

Re: DR Harris Almond Soap
Good to see others' appreciation of DRH soap. I have tried too many soaps than I care to admit. I have become like several of the long term members on the forum. I now use only a couple of soaps that I really like with the rest of my collection rarely used. DR Harris Almond, a Tulip T3, my Canadian ...

DR Harris Almond Soap
Year after year of trying various soaps, I simply can't buy a better performing soap than DRH Almond.
I find even the vintage shaving soaps like Yardley and Pens English Fern are not quite on par.
Anybody else here have the same appreciation of this soap?

After a decade of trial and error, we picked up a Whirlypop manual stove top popper and have enjoyed higher quality popcorn.

Re: good sipping whiskey?
I thought of this post as I got to experience a 48 year old scotch last week. 1962 Tullibardine.
Fantastic scotch.
Highly recommended if you can find it.

Re: How long has it been since you bought new soap or cream?
It has now been 2 years since I bought any new soaps.
Other than vintage soaps that are in high demand, I am not motivated to buy most readily available soaps. I either have them or have tried them.
Which reminds me... I need to post a WTB for vintage Trumpers violet soap on the BST forum.

Re: A Current Trumper Hard Shave Soap
There are few hard shaving soaps that I have not been able to create a decent lather with my T3 and soft water. I tried several Trumper shave soaps over the past 4-5 years and eventually threw them out. I could not get close to a thick lather. There are too many excellent shave soaps and creams on t...

Re: Soaps - Palm Oil
out of curiosity, how much palm oil is used for soaps etc Vs. food additive product? thanks clive I too would assume that food additives would represent a larger portion. That said, the cosmetics industry is huge too. The article states that palm-oil represents half of the world's internationally t...

Soaps - Palm Oil
I was flipping through a Reader's Digest from last year that highlighted the plight of orangutans due to the devastation of Indonesia's jungle. In large part, palm-oil production is responsible for unsustainable deforestation practices in the jungle. The article mentioned that 78 square kilometres o...

The more important question is, "What was any member of this list doing in a l'Occitane shop, anyway?" Buzz Guilty. Shopping for my wife's Christmas gifts. That said, I have used their shaving products and personally find them of higher quality than most readily available brands. The Cade...

Plisson - Low Grade Brushes
Has anyone else noticed the low grade Plisson shaving brushes in L'Occitane stores?
I never thought I would see the day of a Plisson synthetic brush paired in a mall brand men' s Christmas gift for $85.
