Things have indeed changed around here.

One of the products that works for me is the Proraso balm applied after a witch hazel splash. Witch hazel would take care of the burn for you and you could try a balm on the cheap.

It isn't pink. No scent that I can tell.

It's good to see that so many of you from back then are still here. I should check in more often. The only time I don't use my "moss" is when I'm traveling. My son and I are taking turns staying with my mother who just had bypass surgery. She just lives across town but I hate to risk break...

My very first "real" creams were Coates Sandalwood and (I think) Rose. In the plastic tubes (sorry, Gordon). Really looking forward to this.

Not really old enough but...
John Phillip Law (Barbarella, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad). Only because I bought his shaving brush at the estate auction. :)

I bought both scents shortly after joining this fine group. Sandalwood wasn't available then. The Lime is my favorite -- by far. Coral bottle is still half full after 5 years. Hope that helps. Wish they had a Lavender scent. Sandalwood is my least favorite scent (right next to rose). Lol * Last edit...

I prefer Burt's Bees over Carmex because it smells better and seems to work just as well for me. Also, the tins are small enough to carry in my pocket in the winter months. I was always losing Chap-Stick because the tubes would roll off somewhere when I sat them down. That bright yellow Burt's tin i...

I couldn't smell the Joris you sent me, Sam. Was it the same bar? Maybe it was just a faulty one... Somewhat off topic: I quit cigarettes after about 22 years but I still enjoy an occasional stogie or a pipe before bed. I can do without so I know the tobacco addiction is gone. I now smoke when...

***SOLD***Rooney Style 1 Super Badger Med***SOLD***

The Rooney is on the left  It is a Medium. 24mm knot (bore); 47mm handle; 58mm bristle loft. Total height=105mm (4 inches). I paid $99 plus shipping from Classic Shaving. I did lots of research before buying this brush around the first of July. I used it for a couple of weeks and haven't used i...

I was just reading about that on CNN's website before I came here. I immediately thought of you, Sam. Shame about the old church.

Take care.
