IMHO, the fluted knob looks best with that setup, and I'd keep the brass finish with rosewood because it doesn't conflict with the warmth of the darker wood.
Amboyna burl would probably look good with nickel fittings... again the fluted knob... but this is all just my personal opinion.

I don't think I'm in danger of getting my razors confused with anyone else's and I never really needed to have my name or initials on something to tell me it's my own.

I picked up a Lee Challenger press kit a couple of months back with the intention of setting up a loading bench. Unfortunately I haven't finished collecting all the necessaries, and components (bullets, primers, brass, powder) seem to be suffering the same price bumps and shortages as pre-loaded amm...

I think I'm a 4.5
My technique still varies a little and it's not as well honed as I'd like it to be.
Sometimes I feel like I know things, but find out later that I didn't know them as well as I thought.

...but I'm getting better.

The one I tried is from an older batch, but I will be sure to try one when my order comes in. And I think Jani is right. The bulk discount is an incentive to buy, but this is a blade for which I would likely feel comfortable paying slightly more. The offer came at a good time, too, because I had bee...

Notice that they have kept the cheapy plastic knob and thus preserved Mer & Bob's aftermarket possibilities.

Bryce tossed one of these in a little pack of blades he sent me when I bought a NEW from him. Since Paul is offering a bulk buy discount on them I figured I might as well give it a try just to see if it would be a good investment. ...honestly... why didn't you people clue me in sooner? This is an ex...

Bob... you're really tempting me to dismember one of my poor NEW's. :x
Perhaps I should just spring for a replacement Merkur head and go that route? #-o

Nice to know that, even in a declining economy, cottage industry can still thrive.

I was about to suggest Cooncatbob's new 'Bull Mastiff', but it only comes in at 104 grams with a Merkur head.

Have fun with the pocket knife training.
First lesson... when working with a non-locking knife, don't get your fingers snapped between the blade and handle.

I think that's one of the very few times I've heard "sorry buying experience" and "Gio" in the same sentence.
I guess you mean since you are currently unable to order from him?
