Probably not your cup of tea, but maybe give a Muhle synthetic a shot. They perform better than any badger brush i've used at a fraction of the cost. All I use now (of course I do have 4 of them).

I thought all LBs were Chromium. I've blades from packs that had the black insert and the silver one (that you have pictured) and didn't notice a difference anyway.

Glad that it seems to have not changed much. The pics in the link didn't work for me though.
