Re: New "Black Label" injector blades from Supply?

Hello gentlemen, long time and all that. Paul contacted me about this, and it is interesting. Feather does have a factory in Seki. Other razor-related factories I found there include Nikken and Nippon Riki. https://www.nikkenkamisori.co.jp/ https://www.nippon-riki.co.jp/ Both do OEM manufacture, as ...

Re: Mystery Pics

Oh dear. I knew there was a reason I stopped visiting these forums.
That's a thing of beauty, and I'm starting to feel itchy.

I hope you get to enjoy it for longer than you expect, Doctor.

How's Everybody Doing?

Hey all. Jim Rion here, in Japan. I was an active member here years ago, but fell out of the whole online wetshaving thing for various reasons. Anyway, I was just thinking about those days and thought I'd pop in and see what was up. It looks like a lot has changed...SRP is gone, the Shave Place is g...

Re: knot

I know that brush is sold, but if loft is 56mm then handle height is 60mm, since it listed as overall 116mm. I hope my math is correct. Alex Alex, using my calipers, I measured the handle at 52mm and the loft at 63mm, so the overall height of this brush by my measurement is 115mm give or take. .......

Jim, That's a beautiful brush! Is it akin to the line that Bernd offers? They look strikingly similar...and everyone know what wonderful brushes Bernd sells! Good luck on your sale! Crag, By "Bernd", do you mean Shavemac? They are two different manufacturers with two different products. I...

*SOLD* Thäter 4125-4 Silvertip Brush

This Thäter 4125-4 brush was received new as part of a trade. It has been used about ten times. It has shed 3 hairs to my memory. It has considerable backbone and a lovely soft feel. It's the best badger brush I've ever used, but I am getting a two-band and I don't need two such high level brushes. ...

I have a Moka Express and love it immensely. I can have a lovely cupof the stuff in 4 minutes from the time I open the cabinet to get my pot, to the time I pour. That being said, it is not precisely espresso. It produces less pressure than a true espresso maker, and the crema is far less evident. The...

I have just finished (finally) Lonesome Dove. I don't know why it took me so long to actually read this one...what a book, what a book. I'm now knee deep in Max Brand books (huzzah for Project Gutenburg). I've also recently been trying to find books that are actually scary, as opposed to horror book...

Chris, I wonder if this works on the same theme as the "pyramid" I've seen around. I never got anywhere with it, but I wonder at the idea. Perhaps the polishing action from the higher grit stones, makes it more effective for the 8K when you drop back down? I can visualize my idea, but not ...

I am in on a group buy on another forum (I think you probably know the one). If the 2 band is any nicer, I can't imagine I7ll be disappoi...

I must admit water badger had me a little puzzled, I put it down to Google Translate doing it's usual bang-up job of providing an "accurate" translation. Other than that I wasn't sure what the bristles were, part of the translation mentions raw wool hair, another leg hair and then there i...

I have not. I saw it online once before, but was put off by the price. $100+ seem a bit much to me for experimentation.

It's nice to see some Japanese made products, but what, pray tell, is a "water badger?"

**EDIT**It also seems to be a 50% synthetic blend...along with a cold-pour soap.
