Re: Shaving soap or cream of the day

I've been using the Fine Snake Bite soap (stick) this week as scheduled. Great lather and the menthol is strong.

Re: Safety Razor of the Day

So far so good with the daily straight razors. After 6 consecutive days, considering the stress a straight razor places on skin that's not used to it, I used the Noxzema/Kai twin blade disposable this morning.

Re: Which straight razor did you use today?

Today's razor was the Torrey. We can see it was oiled before I took the picture.

Re: Which straight razor did you use today?

This morning I shaved with my ancient Greaves & Sons Sheaf-Works near-wedge. It's a stubtail from the 19th century in the original scales and pins, and overall in very good condition.

Re: Which straight razor did you use today?

Happy Independence Day, everyone! This morning's razor was the Friodur 6/8 full hollow stainless. One of the best, and the edge is great.

A complete and utter non sequitur. To put as bluntly as possible this total lack of logic is from a different planet. There is none as blind as those who won’t see. Think about it. Bryan/Rufus - are you of the opinion that my service as an American citizen war-fighter was all about me (me first) fi...

Re: Friday's shave

Today's Friday shave incorporates 2 changes to the standard lineup. 1. Rugby 6/8 full hollow straight razor instead of the General; 2. Lather was provided thanks to the Fine Snake Bite stick.

Re: Which straight razor did you use today?

This morning's razor was the Rugby, silver steel. It's old and gray like me, and it takes and holds a great edge. Seems to be a full hollow grind.

Following up after 10 + years since I re-knotted this brush. It's been a stalwart, has taken the back seat to dozens of other brushes over the last decade. It's a very good performer, never lost a single bristle, if memory serves. I'm fortunate to have it. One of the half dozen or so badger brushes ...

Re: Face masks

:D I'm as puzzled by the hysterics as anyone else. Two or three guys seem to have decided I personally am and have been leading a nationwide movement against wearing a mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This is inaccurate. The fact is that I carry and wear my masks daily when I'm in public. I d...

Bryan, I'm with you, but sticking it to the evil big government seems preferable to concern for others in me-first America. Covid-19 is real, masks actually help protect those around you, and not wearing one is no great demonstration of liberty but rather a perfect embodiment of me-first ideology. ...

Moebius, a movie from Korea, is quite good. It is interesting in that not one word of dialog is spoken throughout the entire movie.
This will be first on my list.
