None of my 3 fedora's are quite that nice. - A Dark brown Pendleton crush-able safari brim which is nice for daily wear in cooler months or travel. - A no-name natural color straw fedora which is great in the summertime. Picked it up for way less than it's worth. - A cheap browns and greys plaid fed...

First, I recommend shaving your head in spring. Wear a hat most days and let your scalp adjust to getting sun slowly. Then on shaving your head. I use a DE, though the headblade is also very popular. Whatever you do, I recommend using a razor you're already comfortable using. I don't think it's diff...

I really like the Silver Star blades - they're the sharpest of the bunch. Ranbow and Racers are both good but not exceptional IMHO. Obviously some of it is personal preference. I haven't purcahase many LORD blades as my favorites aren't sold by the vendors I order from most frequently and I have oth...

Re: Would like to know you
I do prefer fewer items of quality. I also like items made to last. I do the majority of my writing with a fountain pen, but it's fairly new to me. I do a little woodworking and would like to do more. I don't own or ride a motorcycle, but if I did it would be an American bike. My shoe preferences ar...

The replies so far have focused on triple milled pucks, which last a very long time. Shaving both my head and face, I'd estimate 9 months for a puck of MWF. What hasn't been addressed is softer soaps. Most glycerin pucks, such as the Van Der Hagen varieties found in most US discount and grocery stor...

I've used a sample of P.160 and found it an excellent shave soap and my favorite of the Italian soaps. Yet, I'm going to MWF more than anything else lately and don't want to stop (not as loyal as Wendell - yet). Because of this, I don't think I'd use the P.160 fast enough to justify the big 1 kg siz...

This reminds me a bit of Udder Balm; which is basically Vasoline with some low-grade anti-botics. Farmers in the midwest and plains of the USA have been using it for generations for all kinds of skin issues even though it's designed for animal use. I used it to fix up diaper rash on my daughter when...

you get what you pay for with creams and soaps. Proraso is okay and cheap. had to laugh when someone on the board stated that Proraso is 99% as good as Trumper and T&H and Harris the other day...    ------------ Kent While true 80% of the time, you can find a few real barga...
