I love this stuff. I wish a UK retailer would import it.

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
Having started this thread, I'm happy to return to it to report the BIC 1 love continues. It's now firmly established as my daily go-to for a quick one- or two- pass shave, and you'll be disgusted to hear that's in conjunction with Proraso foam from a can. Never lets me down. I still enjoy a more lu...

Aye, I'm not a prolific contributor here, but I've tried all the others and this is the only one worth the candle.

Re: My skin is very sensitive
1. Bic 1 Sensitive single blade disposable would be my suggestion. 2. Ditch the gel (ugh!), use a quality shaving soap and a brush. Take your time about this. 3. Stick to a one-pass shave in the direction of beard growth, with little to no pressure applied. A comfortable shave is more important than...

Re: Questions about Aftershave Balm and Aftershave Slash/Col
Call me a contrarian, but I like the cold antiseptic sting of an aftershave, followed by the application of a balm.
I use Proraso's products in both instances.

I still enjoy using my Merkur Slant with a good DE blade, but it's become the exception rather than the rule.

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
Also ruinous to one's financial health but you can't take it with you. As my late father used to quip, "In that case, I'm not going". I've done three weeks now with nothing other than Bic Sensitives and a can of Proraso foam, and I remain slightly embarrassed by how good my shaves have be...

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
One further observation I will make about the Bic Sensitives is that to get a close shave you need to revert to the cartridge-style technique of applying a little pressure with each stroke. This is the antithesis of what we learn to do with a DE razor, and will feel unnatural to an established DE co...

Indeed. What does one of those five blade carts run you, like a hundred times the cost of a DE blade?BiffBuff wrote:~ at what cost?

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
after reading this thread i picked up a bag of these. very good results! just as good as my fancy double edhe razors. these may make my double edge razors antiques. how many shave are you guys getting from them? At less than 8p each they're cheap enough to use once and chuck away. I can get a week ...

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
The ASDA supermarket chain in the UK is currently selling 2 x 20 packs (ie 40 razors) for £3 GBP. That's not much more than a dime each in American money. I've cleaned my local store out.

BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables
To paraphrase the old Corn Flakes ad, "Have you forgotten how good they are?" Found myself quite literally lost in France, without a razor, and picked a pack of these up (along with a can of no-brand foam) at a little supermarket in Brittany. WOW. These shave better, smoother and more comf...
