Steve, Thank you for reminding me to remember that you can find a positive and a smile even in grief. My husband knew he was ill and told me many times of his final wishes. His ashes were to be spread either where he hunted for almost 40 years in Montana or fished in Lake Michigan. Over three hours ...

What a beatiful piece of furniture. We ran into the same problem looking for a dining room set. Such high prices for junk. Table leaves that didn't fit well, pressed wood and glue. We drove to Bowling Green, Missouri and found a beatuful solid oak dining table w/ 2 self-storing leaves, 8 chairs and ...

They are quite easy. You will need a mold. I bought mine on Ebay which came in the three sizes but any plastic egg 'half' will work; such as the larger ones you fill with candy. I would suggest that the horizontal opened eggs would be easier. First cut up cardboard about 2" larger than the eggs...

Easter Eggs

You've probably all seen the hand-decorated, Panoramic Sugar Easter Eggs. They are beautiful and somewhat pricey for what they are so we made our own again this year. It was a fun night with the Grandkids and they each proudly took home three eggs. They are fun and easy to make. http://www.postimage...

Received this in an email yesterday, Sue :: This is from newshound Dave Barry's colonoscopy journal: I called my friend Andy Sable, a gastroenterologist, to make an appointment for a colonoscopy. A few days later, in his office, Andy showed me a color diagram of the colon, a lengthy organ that appea...

You may have to find a private craftsman. They are still around but difficult to find. It's funny that our builder of this home has such a man working for him who does custom work when needed. The cost is probably out of reach for most ppl. I don't think it too much to ask the mass producers to stop...

My son found steel replacements at Home Depot. He replaced alll of my brakets today and is replacing theirs tomorrow. His home has plastic brackets too. When we picked out our kitchen cabinets we chose upgraded oak; that the shelves would be held in place with plastic wasn't even a thought. I know I...

Banana Pudding Can Be Dangerous

I was making banana pudding for my Grandkids this afternoon; you probably know the type-layers of pudding with vanilla wafers and banana slices. Simple, easy and most kids love it. The big glass 'banana pudding bowl' was on the top shelf in my kitchen cabinet. As I strained to reach it, turning it t...
