Anybody know if they have any valid coupon codes going? Going to pick up some Coates and some ProGuard Blades.
Always had good service from this vendor.

Hopefully my last post on the subject, but I find these blades to be excellent. Just finished off one in my fatboy and it lasted a week. Smooth and gentle on the skin yet somehow gives a close shave with minimal effort. It can just zip right around your face if you've got experience. Worth the effor...

Not made in China
Hi guys, I had someone who speaks Chinese translate whatever they could make out from the packaging and it says the following, in Chinese: "Imported from Germany, great quality material: Stainless double edge razor blade compatible with all kinds of razor" So they're sold and packaged for ...

Great blades
Okay guys you know I had to get some to try. My first three shaves with the same side of the blade in a Fatboy, good prep and AOS Sandalwood produced DFS. Very smooth feeling blade while being sharp enough but you don't feel it or have any sort of nicks or cuts. I was able to dial up to 5 on the Gil...

hummm, well i think i landed my point pretty well. i definitely detect a distinct softening in your view (even if you haven't realised it / or want to admit it to yourself/publically). last time you were howling with disbelief / indignation. now you seem to be able to rationalise it. $39 for 10 Per...

Ex. Next best blade lasts 6 shaves, then if P74 lasts you 30 shaves and you like HOW THEY SHAVE, then TO YOU they are worth 5 times your next best favorite. Same principle can apply to other NOS blades. so you are saying you can relate to it now?! http://www.shavemyface.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45...

Scott, I think I'm beginning to gain a little better understanding of the (obvious? ) reasons some guys pursue the vintage stuff. Thanks. Yes, I think there is a reason beyond vintage people ( ) not adjusting to new blades or people imagining things. As the prices for vintage blades on ...

Gary, Okay, I'll try ( as did Marty ) but keep in mind that all this is ultimately personal/experiential. If there is no difference for you than there isn't, but for me there is a rather marked one. I assure you that I would not have gone through the hassle and expense if, really, some easily acces...

See how out of the loop I am, I didn't know the Iridiums were discontinued, much less resurrected (speculation) as Polsilver. The old Polsilvers were nice and I'm glad I had bought a tower of Iridiums from Connaught when they were on special. The speculation would seem logical as there were blades l...

It is nice but it is a PILS clone with better steel and knurling right? I've learned to easily manage no rust on the PILS just by rinsing well, shaking off the water, and unscrewing the cap a couple turns to allow it to air dry between shaves. Still, if I had the coin I'd of course have to have Greg...

Okay I'mma be lazy here, what's the deal with these new Russian 7 o'clock blues? Been outta the loop, is there a consensus which is better, blue or black or is it basically YMMV and/or he said/he said?

Scott, Too weird. So, we don't know whether those blades that Nationwide offers are the German made ones or perhaps a new Chinese made version, correct? Regards, Gordon Not yet, but I did dig out the old email I sent NWC asking about it and she was more polite in the email than I remember  and...

Scott, I'm not sure whether or not you are aware, but that Nationwide Campus outfit are the ones who marketed that cheesy ineffective Chinese made copy of the Schick Injector razor ( both fixed blade and adjustable model ) a few years back. A number of members bought them, and I got to try them out...

That's cool. I see nationwide campus wants 7 bucks to ship so that would be a buck a blade, about the same as the NOS goes for so that's not so great, maybe one of the other sites or Amazon can do better. I emailed a vendor that carries exclusively old school shaving and grooming supplies and asked ...

Thanks for the information Scott. I know Drugstore.com carries the injector blades. I wonder if they could get the DE blades if they were so inclined. It would make sense. The Schick Plus Platinum DE blades are among my favorites and I would be very interested to see how the new ones match up. I mu...

Apologies
Sorry Phil, I guess plentiful would be the wrong word... I "remember" seeing them while I was still collecting like a mad man but here's a google search page showing what they look like and some current or past sellers. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=new+Schick+double+edge...
