It is not just Trumper's. After having had problems with pots of cream from the British merchants, I decided to stick with tubes. I have never had a problem with tubes. They are more costly, but the tubes protect the product.

Re: Penhalgon may be discontinuing English Fern & Douro
I just went on their US website. Hammam Bouquet, English Fern, and Douro were listed (although English Fern was out of stock).

Re: Rose, Cyril Salter and Vetiver
I just noticed in a previous post that I said that Trumper and Taylor had a heavy red coloring. I meant Trumper and D.R. Harris. As I said after that, Taylor has dropped the coloring from their rose shaving cream.

Re: Rose, Cyril Salter and Vetiver
Gary,
i agree. It was an excellent cream. It was marketed to women and that may have been a mistake. I think more men would have liked it if they had been willing to try it.

Re: Rose, Cyril Salter and Vetiver
Sam, Trumper's, Taylor's, and D.R. Harris all make rose shaving creams. They all have a wonderful smell, work well, and are available in tubes if you want to try them out. Trumper's also has a rose shaving soap but my experience with their soaps in recent years has been disappointing. One problem wi...

Re: Trumpers Aftershave Tonic
Gordon,
My wife and I just returned from a week in London and a week on the QM2. At Trumper's Curzon Street, I bought a bottle of the Coral Tonic. I think it is very nice, although I am not a fan of the Coral fragrance. So I still prefer the DR Harris Pink. But still a good product.

Re: Back to Jolly 'Ole
My wife and I just spent a week in London, followed by a return on the QM2. Unfortunately, there were three storms in the north Atlantic, so the trip was a bit rough (although no plates or waiters went sprawling). The stateroom toiletries on the QM2 were Penhaligon's Quercus, which, I gather, replac...

Re: Penhaligon's. What's Going On?
Chris,
I figured that Penhaligon's wouldn't "reimagine" Blenheim Bouquet to include vodka. But my more serious concern is the apparent disappearance of Hammam Bouquet. That would be a real loss.

Penhaligon's. What's Going On?
I just received an email ad fromPenhaligon's advertising "Penhaligon's Cocktails." With respect to Blenheim Bouquet, the ad states that it has been "reimagined in vodka, zesty citrus with a splash of prosecco and a pop of peppercorn." It's difficult to know whether this is just a...

To speed reentry into the US, apply for Global Entry. You fill out a form on-line, and go for an interview and the approval is good for five years. It also satisfies the TSA pre-check requirements, so that you don't have to take off shoes, etc. when flying in the U.S.

If you like churches, I would recommend Sant'Andrea al Quirinale (designed by Bernini) and San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane (designed by Borromini), both on the Quirinale Hill within a block of each other. Also San Clemente, with a 12th century church built on top of a 4th century church built on top ...

Re: US Source for GFT travel-sized bottles
Gordon, Shoplondons.com carries the Spanish Leather aftershave and cologne in plastic bottles of 200 and 500 ml. The aftershaves are $48 (200 ml) and $80 (500 ml) and the colognes are $52 (200 ml) and $96 (500 ml). Unfortunately, they all have an "out-of stock" label attached to the listin...

Re: anyone try art of shaving Balm?
Anthony, I'm not sure what scent you tried, but my recollection is that AOS provided samples of the unscented products, so you may just be smelling the product without added fragrance. I agree with Gordon that the AOS Aftershave Balm is really more of a moisturizer (and without any sun protection fo...

Re: Tell me again; what's wrong with Dial?
I don't know that there is anything wrong with Dial now. But, originally, it contained hexachlorophene, a product that was ultimately banned from the consumer market. The slogan was "It's the hexachlorophene in Dial that does it."
