Re: here ya go

and so much of this stuff has free shipping. ever wonder why stuff less than a dollar can be shipped from china? it's cause the u.s. post office has to deliver it for free due to a free trade agreement. so we end up paying for it while domestic products don't get sold

Re: does gold make a difference?

well so far it does less damage than my 38 barber pole, original 34hd, 3 progresses, 3 futurs. gillette adjustables and red tip, 89 ejs, dr harris muhles, schick adjustables, etc,,etc,,,

does gold make a difference?

just wanted to get an opinion from you guys. i have had numerous safety races in the last few years. gillettes, merkurs, muhles etc. i had a gold future a while back and really liked the color so i thought i would try a 34g. as it turns out, the 34 hd in gold is the best razor yet!! for some reason ...

Re: I've been thinking about getting a Futur

i have a love/ hate relationship with the futur. i've owned all the finishes and find no difference among them. my favorite was the gold. wish i still had it. i don't use a futur very often. i need to stay more focused with it to avoid blood letting more than anyother razor and i don't need that str...

Re: Brushes and Lather Quality

i think it's all about density. a less dense brush (ie. shavemac, kent, vulfix vs. a chubby) is more efficient at getting a good quick lather. the only product that makes my omega boar a super brush is palmolive shave stick ground down into a bowl. THAT combination rivals anything else i use.

Re: From the ashes? Phoenix Double Open Comb razor

bought one of these razors based on this thread. a very nice looking razor. no weepers. not a particularly close shave but ok. 3 hours later my face is red as a lobster from razor burn. didn't see that coming! #-o it's for sale on ebay now =D>

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables

after reading this thread i picked up a bag of these. very good results! just as good as my fancy double edhe razors. these may make my double edge razors antiques. how many shave are you guys getting from them?

Re: Technique Question

try an alternative. try a COLD shave. it will be slightly ruffer on your skin but you will get a much more efficient cut and it will be a closer shave!

GILLETTE FUSION $1/WK

have you seen the gillette ads for fusion blades for $1/wk? the fine print states the cost based on a shave every other day. kinda poor grooming standards for a razor company, don't you think? considering the shave quality is poorer (at least for me) than with a double edge, it seems we are expected...

Re: need to find a vendor for creams

thanks for the help. it's a shame! i find these creams to be slick with slightly less cushion. very good for using with a multi-cartridge blade. how are the palmolive or gillette creams? .
