Trade a bottle of skin food for the CF Limes cream? Or a pair of cufflinks I have up? Sam, First, I have got plenty of Skin Food and with regard to your cufflinks, sorry I never wear long sleeved shirts so have no use for them. I have 2 pair that my father left me but I have no use for them. A frie...

My Father passed away in late October having been told he only had days to live so I have requested that instead of relatives buying me gifts I would prefer the money to go to the cancer nurses' charity that showed him so much affection in his final days. The only gift I would like for Christmas is ...

Blu Mediterraneo

I have just tried a sample of Aqua Di Parma's Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi, all I can say is WOW, what a beautifully delicious scent. At first when I opened the box the overpowering smell was off putting but the products are great, especially the EDT. Anyone here tried this and have any thoughts?

Where are you planning on getting the Claus from? I have a bar of the Almond oil soap on a rope, it is an uncommonly fine soap, great smell, thick lather, non drying, in short, everything I could ask for in a soap. It is also cheaper per gram than their other bath soaps. Possibly going to get the C...

Claus Porto or Trumper's?

I'm contemplating a bar of soap as part of my Christmas box but cannot decide on a bar of Trumpers Sandalwood, Spanish Leather or a Claus Porto Tobacco Cinnamon. Anyone here tried the CP Tobacco Cinnamon? I believe the CP range is good quality but how do they stand up next to Trumpers?

Phil, Any chance you have changed the detergent that you use to wash your facecloths? Could you have an allergy to the detergent remaining in the cloth? JimT I only use my face cloth in clean hot water to soften the bristles so as for changing the detergent to wash the cloth in, I'm afraid it has n...

Eric, I understand fully what you are going through. I had a violent reaction to Trumper's Violet cream, fortunately it was only a sample pot. I have Trumper's Sandalwood soap in my collection but have yet to open it but I have used their Sandalwood cream and I find it to be very kind to my skin. Ha...

i think 1805 smells like cucumber. and i think srd's bulgarian rose otto smells like dill! so there. nothing mysterious to it! I thoroughly HATE the smell and taste of cucumber so this will not be on my list of shaving scents. I was toying with the idea of buying some 1805 but will look elsew...

I now shave every 5 days so the blade has something to 'latch' onto. My shaves seem to be smoother when I leave it for this length of time between them.

I shave north-south and then across the grain west-east and then east west. Then I shave south-north carefully and with some skin stretching. Seems to work well for me. Till tomorrow I suppose when my whole technique will go straight to hell or something now that I've talked about it. -Tye +1, exce...

Ian, I guess one could say that the phenomenon is 'blooming'. Surely this should not happen so quickly though with a better than average badger brush? It has made me think twice about purchasing another badger. I was extremely pleased with it for the first few times but since these 'minor' problems ...

Phil, the breakdown you describe is abnormal for a bona-fide badger brush that has been used for only a few weeks. This is the first time I've heard of the hairs becoming harder. Who is the manufacturer, and what grade of badger hair is it? Porter, The brush is a TOBS super badger, No 2233S, which,...

Porter,
Hmm, I too have my suspicions about coloured soaps having the same effect on brushes as the cream. The only saving grace I can think of is with the soaps being hard less dye will be picked up during lathering than with th creams.

There's always 2016  Kav, Sorry my friend but that is what they have just lost out on, the 2016 Games. I wouldn't be too downhearted if Chicago didn't get the vote. I remember Manchester bidding for it twice and losing out on both occassions, and besides that, think of all those sports arenas...

It seems more practical to hold the Commonwealth Games rather than the Olympics. Okay, a city may not make as much money out of the 'minor' Olympic games but it still brings needed revenue in and isn't paying for decades later. Manchester did well holding the CWG in 2002. The Commonwealth Stadium is...
