Re: Razorock Mission

I am not sure if its ok to revive a year old thread. I just ordered a razorock mission And was looking for online reviews. I am from India and can say that Parker and Pearl (aka cadet, razorock, matador) Razors while made in India are for the export market only. They are not sold locally. The local ...

Its Hindi actually. Sanskrit is the mother language of all Aryan / Vedic languages. Some say its also true for any European "Aryan" languages. Hindi is the dialect spoken most commonly in India. The script of many of the Indian languages would look like Sanskrit. The sanskrit is from an an...

Paul, Thanks to you i am well stocked on the razor portables ! :D I am guessing that they shut down the portable assembly line to manufacture this new razor. I am curious to know if the new razor head is the same as that of the portable ? I don't think they make the Portable any more. It's not liste...

A vendor at B&B us selling this at 150$, which in my opinion is yet too high. I am still waiting for a definitive answer on the difference between this new razor and the feather portable. I will not be surprised if they stopped the production of the portable to convert the assembly to make these...

I would say be cautious. Most Topaz / Lazer blades are crap. I have a tuck @home, but afraid to put it to my face !!

The ordinary Topaz with a red diamond on the package - lasts me exactly for one pass only.

I retired a 7 O' Clock super platinum black blade today after the 15th shave in a slant. It is my personal record for maximum shaves from a blade. The shave was very smooth and DFS. I swear that with some patience and technique I could squeeze a shave or two more out !!

I have read the same problems with badgers in one of the other shaving forums, due to excessive hot water. The solution suggested there was to dip the brush in ice cold water and allow to dry and repeat till the curling reverses. It seems this advice paid off for quite a few who experienced this pro...

+1 to the feedback above. The 730 is the only badger in my arsenal, the others being boars, I use it sparingly with some lanolin creams in India. The build quality is simply awesome. I got mine from shavingessentials.net

The Indian 7O'Clocks are very sharp blades. The permasharp green is slightly smoother than the black super platinum. However I would like to say that the permasharp green will feel like a derby on day 1 only on the 4th shave. Also I would say that the Indian 7O'Clock are aggressive blades. I use the...

I've used a feather in a flare tip with no problems. Their sharpness is unbelievable in the way it cleans the stubble. But interestingly as Squire says, the sharpness starts dropping abruptly. I need fewer passes per shave and yet it does not last much. This Monday I popped in a feather in to a fatb...

These are 3 Wilkinson Sword blades from Gillette India. They are middle-low category blades. The chromium are super smooth blades, followed by the stainless and finally the saloon which is good for a shave or two only. http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/6710/14462854.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img...

I would like to know what you gentlemen think about the Godrej soap when compared to Williams. I have heard varying opinions about Godrej being a step down or also a step up.

Can someone having enuf experience with both enlighten please ?
