Re: Thanks to Dr Moss for setting me ‘straight’

If that problem continues I would be pleased to compare and contrast your last 12 years of perfecting an edge! Your Mor complete menu of options sounds delicious. Hopefully though someone comes along.

Re: Thanks to Dr Moss for setting me ‘straight’

Enabling indeed! There is not only my atrociously over indulgent straight razor disorder, but your darn shaving treatise had me drooling for Trumpers Coral Skin Food for months. So, I finally wiped my chin, bought me some, and I have been a rose scent shaver but ever since. Thanks again actually! Wh...

Thanks to Dr Moss for setting me ‘straight’

I wanted to say thank you once again to Dr Moss. Almost 12 years ago I boldly contacted him and explained I was trying to get into str8 shaving and that I lived on the other coast of Canada. I sorted of whined how I was not having luck lining up someone who could sharpen a proper edge for me. I real...

It's Windows this works in. If you're using an Apple I have no idea how. Probably the same since it all came from the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). Don't maximize the browser window. Allow it to be whatever size. That's the button on the top corner middle of any window. If it shows 2 squares it...

 John, for the longest time I didn't realize there was a TOC, and I'd open the pdf required manually. Wayne, the other thing I did with the shortcut... I open my browser to leave a thin portion of my desktop seen at the bottom of the screen. Items that I need to open while on line can be seen...

Yes, it's Kampfe. It does nothing when "return " is clicked. I like the shortcut idea and stole it. Nice! Glad you thought the shortcut was a good idea!! I also am glad I picked up that someone is having the same problem as me with the Kampfe chapter. Clearly this is a glitch in the produ...

OK, just dump the entire thing into a subdirectory, and if you're like me and can't remember which file you need to open (SRC_TOC.pdf) just copy it and rename it something you can remember, like A_Table_of_Contents.pdf. It works seamlessly with most of the files and returns you to the TOC when you ...

I personally find you need to go to a somewhat older Lather Catcher style to really enjoy a single edge shave. These new fangled razors do hold the blade, but in my opinion something got lost along the way beginning around the 1930s. YMMV of course!

The handles seem like a cheap plastic and for that reason haven't interested me. I picked one up at a flea market a couple of years ago and have yet to try it out. Not sure what the interest would be in it really.

I was wondering about this in June this year, so I sent a query regarding carrying DE and SE type of blades and razors to the TSA. This is the response I rcvd: (it seems that you can take them - at your own peril!) 15/06/2010 Thank you for your e-mail. The Transportation Security Administration's cu...

Audible as sweet, sweet music! Fine razor. My 66 has been parked for some time. Single edges, though - play tunes like a great fiddle!

Funny, Rocketman, I didn't see that one in my GEM Jr daily search results. Not that I would have bid on it anyway. I already have one of those. Case not as nice as yours and I paid a good deal more for it. You got yourself a great razor at a "steal" of a price. I would say that this razor...

Heck of a nice price on this StraightArrow. I am more of a Single Edger myself, although someone will want this one for an excellent shaver.
