I have just rediscovered C&E Soaps. I used Nomad briefly after I started wet shaving....but never managed to get a BBS Shave. Almost 2 years on.....lith loads of practise on Mitchell's Woolfat....I now seem to be able to get water ratios correct. C&E is now one of my favourites. Good stuff a...

I don't think it is aggressive.....just more aggressive than a Gillette Tech which is a similar 3 piece razor. It's excellent value ....go for it. I actually bought three extras...for each of my 3 sons. I have no qualms about giving each of them a "portable" as their first DE razor.

Same thing happens to those old Kent bowls. Bad/cheap varnish and/or cheap wood is my guess. I have a Kent bowl with the same issue. My Home is full of Kent bowls. I have taken the soap out of them, and put them into plastic Klipfresh tubs. The wooden bowls are great.....so long as they don't get w...

I have a Gillette travel razor, a Merkur travel razor and now this Feather. I really like the Feather best for travel. It is more comfortable to shave with. One word of caution to any newbees who buy this razor DON'T use the Feather blade that comes with it until you have some experience. For the p...
