I've tried only the soap, not the cologne, and have just shaved with it. It has more complexity than mere lemon, yet it still seems rather lightly scented to me. Perhaps that's because for several days I've been using Tabac!

I must be blessed in never having had an ingrown whisker, at least that I know of. Until I started reading in this forum, I was scarcely aware of the phenomenon. I've used both the powered and unpowered Fusion models and prefer the latter. The vibrations and noise of the motor block the feedback tha...

Seriously, if this d****d Fusion weren't working so well for me, I'd pick up where I left off 30+ years ago and try a DE. I know I'd get as good a shave. But I've become a wimp in the intervening years. I remember the cuts, the styptic pencil, the burn. I remember shaving with ice cold water in the ...

BeatlesFan, your handle puts you within range of my generation, if not squarely in it, and gives you special credibility in my eyes. Your post is enlightening to me. Taken together with contributions from Clint and others, it shows that the Fusion is simply not suitable for every man. It proves that...

Tim, I've just seen you last paragraph. No, I'm not a Gillette salesman. I shaved with DE's for the first 15 years of my shaving career. But I simply liked the cartridges when they appeared, and I've noticed them improving over the years. Again, my only point is that the Fusion can do the job well, ...

Tim, I suspect that the cause of their unhappiness lies as much with beard preparation and the shaving medium as with the razor. Many men simply wash the face quickly and lightly with warm water, then apply a smooth layer of foam from an aerosol can. They do two passes at most, very quickly, because...

While your technique is no doubt correct, I have seen comments by others, indicating they didn't know how to use the Fusion. One man, for example, said he had to apply heavy pressure to the razor. But a light touch is the way to go. Perhaps some men go over the same patch of skin too many times, whe...

I’m new to the forum, but not to shaving. I started in 1956. I’d like to say a few words in defense of cartridge razors in general, and the Fusion in particular. I switched to cartridges as soon as I became aware of the TRAC II sometime in the early 70’s, and since then I’ve adopted each new multibl...
