Nice, I'll have to try the Wilkensons.

The atra years are why I "must" have a longer handled razor. They just feel right.

I've heard it does; Fatboy too. I never want to find out. They don't make them anymore. I always adjust it when the TTO is slightly loose. I think some folks believe this is an old wives' tale, but I always loosen the TTO a little. Again, why stress the razor, and as a previous post stated, they do...

JT -- What cartridges have you been using? Genuine Atras, or something else? oy, that's when I put the atra aside, when all I could find were disappointing generic brand blades. Last year I picked up another pack at a dollar store of all places but just could get myself to open the pack and try the...

Queen Charlotte Tangerine sample and mini review

I broke open a half ounce sample I got on sale with my holiday Queen Charlotte order. I figured I'd share my impressions with the Tangerine Cream. Color is a pale orange yellow. The scent from the cup is kind of a cross between fresh orange juice and aging orange peel zest. I lathered up with my bad...

I was curious about the scent too as I never really considered it a men's scent. Last winter I bought a few sample pots and selected Vulfix Rose. Great shaving cream, very sythetic fake rose scent, not as fake as the lime. That 2 pot sampling of Vulfix scratched them off my list. One of these days I...

When Gordon has a chance to review it, and if he recommends it, then I'll buy it. Gordolotry  Not really, he seldom if ever reviews new products, even though he does recommend them, and at the present time he's not posting much. So I figure I can kill two birds with one stone. I can declare ...

shadow,

that can be very true for sure, - a YMMV thing.

today's fresh lab blade was just as ho hum as the first. I'll use it 7 days and go back to a hospital.

So far they are NOT the same FOR ME in use.

I posted in the other Personna thread about these blades but this is the more appropriate thread on comparison. I only used one blade of each but the Hospital use blade was much much smoother and lasted incredibly long and gave some of the best DE shaves I ever had. I used one blade for two weeks an...

this thread got me interested in trying these and the labs which were described as the same blade but not documented as sterile. I've only tried a blade of each so what I say is anecdotal for the moment. -hospital blade, I used it for two weeks straight, same blade, first shave was almost a bit shar...

On the other extreme I also love the saxaphone. thanks Gary, I'm not sure if I was just smart/afraid to catch it or knew full well the surgery to repair muscles and tendons would c...

Drat! I dropped my razor into the sink today.

Yup, I made it about three weeks with my razor. I shaved today and was wiping my razor down with a dab of mineral oil to avoid rust and I got butterfingered. I dropped the razor about 12 inches into the sink. For an old fat guy I have darned quick reflexes to catch dropped things but I didn't even m...

Good tips, I've started mixing the woolfat a little wetter. Seems to prevent some irritation when all is said and done.

Today I tried shaving with some Cella I just got from Shoebox, I think I went overboard on wet with it. Not bad but I felt like I needed to excercise more care.

Key Lime Soap
and I grabbed some Briar before it was gone for good. (cherry tobacco scent) Just as a sentimental reminder of my old step father smoking his pipe around the holidays. Been years since I smelled that old smell.
