Re: Merkur Vision 2000 NOS

Nah, who am I kidding. I couldn’t muster the funds for what would be largely a novelty razor. My apologies to the very real users of this razor who don’t consider it a novelty.

Re: Fifteen years on this forum

Thank you Chris it’s good to be back!

If memory serves you also dipped your toe into the “Rolling your own”, are you still making your own soap? If so how are you ever going to put a dent in that huge Tabac collection I recall seeing a picture of?

Re: Merkur Vision 2000 NOS

Ouch! I’ll admit I never really wanted one of these when they were in production. I always thought they were too over the top. However now that they’re out of production I find that I’m telling myself, “I have a place for this in my rotation.”

Oh how time changes perspective.

Re: Fifteen years on this forum

I know I’m resurrecting an old thread here but unfortunately that seems by and large like the only option given the slow nature of the forum the past few years. I’ve been lurking and reading (Tim’s “Rolling your own” is going to get me to start making soap… eventually) but I should have participated...

Re: The Moss Scuttle in Winter

It took far too long for me to acquire the legendary Moss Scuttle, but I corrected that mistake this past Christmas. Dr. Moss, what’s your preference with regards to size: small, large, or Texas?

Re: RazorRock - S.Maria

How did the S. Maria do for its first shave? Quite interesting about the texture. I too, was under the impression that it would be a more firm cream ; perhaps along the lines of my tub of Acca Kappa 1869, and unlike all their previous soft soaps . Oh well, it's just another reason, albeit an unantic...

Well, I've been a soap guy from forever, but lately I've had the itch to buy some old favorite creams, particularly T&H lavender and rose. May have to see if I can squeeze Harris lavender and rose into the mix, too. Ah, a few minutes back here and the debit card prepares to go into hiding. I've...
