I remember The Persuaders. I was very young (single figures) and liked it. Perhaps that's a reflection of it's quality. Probably my strongest Tony Curtis memory. I suspect that if I watched an episode now, I would think that it was awful. Ian I am with you. Loved it at the time, but wouldn't want t...

Re: A Pleasant Surprise

A couple nights ago my wife came to me and asked if I'd lather up her legs with one of my brushes and Tabac, then shave them with my Gillette Tech. That was a shocker for me, but I was glad to oblige. The shave went very well...she was quite pleased with the experience....I was quite pleased with t...

Ahh, yes... I just had a final interview for a new job (which I got BTW) and the HR manager said "you actually seem quite normal for someone that collects and uses old razors and fountain pens." When I asked how she knew that she explained that she checked out my Facebook page, and those ...

My son bought into the wetshaving thing altogether. Used a Gillette Knack, Vulfix boar brush and a Kriss Kross DE blade sharpener to use the same DE blade for months at a time. Then he went to university, and this is how he looks now: Oh well... Chris Chris I can so relate. My son is 25 and an amat...

I've never been to Australia, but I've been a Hawthorn Hawks fan since the days of Platten and Dipie Dominico(sp?). I try to listen to the Grand Final every year on the internet.
How on earth did you get in to AFL in Carolina?

As you can see from the mixed response, a lot depends on your skin type. A good badger shaving brush goes a long way, but if you do need to "scrub" then don't over do it. Once or twice a week is generally enough. And go gently, you're not sanding wood.

Short or shaved, depending on your head shape. But definitely no comb overs, especially the ones that give you that freshly raked grass effect.

Personally I wouldn't use any type of soap on my face - tends to dry the skin. I use a mild face wash.
