thanks for all the input. I've enjoyed the trumpers lime cream way more than I expected. The blades are great and so is the pink aftershave.

On a plus note....QED was nice enough to ship my order with three samples. DR Harris arlington cream and aftershave, and coates cream.

excited to try my new products

Just made a purchase with Qed and I cant wait to use them. I bought D.R. Harris pink aftershave, 100 feather blades, and trumpers lime cream.

If anyone, as I'm sure you have used these, let me know how they've worked out for you.

a special sandalwood

My grandmother passed away last week which was difficult, but lived a life worth celebrating. Other than my memories of her which will last forever and are imprinted in my brain. She most often used a sandalwood scented ferfume. So now every time I lather up my tobs sandalwood, I think of her and ad...

first time feather

Its been a while since I've checked in, so here it is. Just finished shaving with a feather blade for the first time. I've been "proper" wet shaving for about a year and finally got up the courage to load up my barber pole 38c. I can see why these blade are so well liked. Only did two pass...

I've used TOBS avocado for my last three consecutive shaves. I try to rotate my soaps and creams by only two uses and then on to the next. But due to the recent heat we've had on the east coast, I can't get enough of this refreshing cream. If you ask me, the scent kind of reminds me of extremely fre...

I'm pretty well stocked myself. But there are some products that im just dying to try. My girlfriend asked me what I wanted for my birthday next month, and I replied "shaving stuff". I'll print out my west coast shaving wishlist, and you can surprise me! She replies, "you've got enoug...

Thanks I looked at that too, but a little more than I'd like to spend. Rather use that money on some soaps and creams.

which simpson shall i chose.

I may be in the market soon for a new brush. I currently use a vulfix pure and just want to expand my horizons. I think I've narrowed it down to Simpson.

Welcome to the addiction. You will get some great advice here. As a fellow Heeb, I had the exact same issues as you. All I can say is keep an open mind to all everyone has to offer. Once you nail down the preparation and technique , then you can narrow down which products work best for you. Since I ...

I agree with Dave. If you had a good shave, you did it right. I have sensitive skin and is the reason I seeked out this style of wet shaving. When I first joined SMF I read a similar thread to see which was the "correct" method, and tried bowl, hand, and face. I agree that bowl lathering c...

I still have a puck of their lime and coconut that came with a bowl that I bought during my very first wet shaving purchase.

That's reminds me I have to get around to trying it. It does smell amazing. Had anyone used any of the regular Classic Shaving soaps?

I used to sport a goatee and sometimes a light beard mostly because I was lazy and hated shaving. Buy my girlfriend likes a clean shaved man. So she is actually the reason I got into traditional wet shaving. I needed a way to shave 3 or 4 times a week and not hate it. I never thought I would ever en...
