I have tried numerous creams without a brush - Proraso, The Real Shave Co., Nivea, and Cremo Cream. I have found that Cremo Cream is the best brushless cream and I use it almost daily at the gym. When at home and have more time and space it is Proraso and a brush for me.

My shave yesterday was with a Tech and a Wilkinson Sword blade. Comfortable shave, not BBS, but no irritation either. I may try a Feather with the Tech soon.

The area most affected was the lower part of my neck. Things are healed up nicely!
I am back to the Tech for some more practice (maybe for good!).
Thanks for all the insights.

Feather doe not agree with my neck?

I shaved yesterday with a Feather Portable and a Feather blade. Proraso pre shave, cream, and AS splash. The shave was comfortable on the first pass and most of the second pass. Then I got to the neck and it all went downhill. I used alum and then a styptic pencil on most of my neck. It still feels ...

I shave last - the moisture from the shower allows the shave to go much smoother.

I just had an email from the supplier of JM Fraser and Booster products. He tells me they do not have a shop in Montreal.

I have tried The Real Shave Company, Nivea, and Proraso (all in tubes). Proraso has been working best so far.

Wendell: The SDM around here have the pre/post and shave creams, I am hoping to get some of the aftershave splash. I am also looking to pick up some of the JM Fraser shave cream and Booster after shave while I am there if I can find a store that carries them. If not I will have to order online. Than...

We are staying at Hotel de la Montagne on the corner of Rue de la Montagne and Rue Sainte Catherine, right around the corner from Vasco. I will have to check them out.

I also remember reading in an earlier post about a drug store. I will have to do a search before I go.

Thanks.

Shaving Goods in Montreal?

I will be in Montreal in the next couple of weeks and I am wondering what is sold there locally and where to go. My hotel is near the Bell Centre and I will not be renting a car. Hoping for some Proraso and JM Frasers, maybe others. Can anyone shed some light on suppliers in Montreal.

Thanks

I did read the review of brushless creams and I think I will try some of the JM Fraser Polar Ice Shave Cream and the Boosters Polar Ice aftershave. These are probably the easiest for me to get in Canada. David Somebody did an extensive review here of brushless creams, I think it was Brothers, and it...

Changing my routine

I am going to be changing my morning routine for the next little while. I will be visiting the gym before work each morning. This means I will be showering at the gym and going to work from there. Time is tight since the gym does not open until 5:45 and I like to be at work by 7:15. I do not think I...

Are all the Weshi the same level of aggressiveness, the difference being in the finish on the razor?

Hmm... Super Iridium or a Gillette 7 O’clock SharpEdge (Yellow) okay... I will try them.

New to the forum and looking for a Tech?

Good Day: I am new posting here but I have lurked and read for some time now. Thanks to all the helpful posts I have made the switch from canned cream to Proraso pre/post and a tube of their shave cream. I also purchased a cheap brush from WalMart. I notice great improvements in the quality of my sh...
