No reason you can't do it. Only downside is that creams in a tub go off faster than creams in a tube; larger surface area exposed to air for longer period of time. So if you have a lot of creams in your rotation, you might want to stick with the tubes. Just the three tubes, none of which is full. B...

Ah. And that's the "high-price spread" relative to the creams I have on hand.

I've got three tubes of creams as well as first-aid ointments. A mess. But I have a tub that will be used up as soon as I make up my mind to finish it.

From tube to tub?

Has anyone ever squeezed cream out into a tub for use? Does it adversely effect the quality? Longevity? It's easier for me to stack tubs than store tubes so I'm wondering if this is a doable idea?

Michael, Yeah, I agree, but still, those 100 blade packs were nice, handy, and compact. Also, I always counted on them as sort of my ultimate back-up DE blade. I'm still using vintage blades but I don't have an unlimited supply of them ( like some around here...sigh ) and while the current Polsilve...

Looks like this is the end for the white box IP.
Just so the blade remains the same, the True Believers in Blues will remain content. I have enough storage space for any packaging they use. :D

Glad I came across this thread: my box of blue IP's is almost gone (after several years  ). A quick check of eBay shows me the two vendors I knew who carried them are no longer active  . What vendors are carrying the 5 blade packs? Mark, I bought mine from Razor Blades And More IIRC. It w...

The Israeli Blues are lately being vended in loose plastic tucks of five blades each. My last order of 100 came that way.

You're correct, Reds are different blades.

The one I have was sent to me by a very good friend of mine from Gut Rasiert along with 2 Calani soaps, a Palmolive Original cream, and a Golddachs Spezial soap. He told me that this soap was the type which needs patience and effort to acheive good lather, but I never expected this.:( Nu, khaver, y...

Months later

I find the stuff to be top notch. Since I don't often need to use it, the bottle is not yet emptied.

Hours after using it my neck and face feel smooth and not at all greasy. On my face, BTW, the scent lingers for hours. Luckily, it's pleasant. But eventually I will switch to an unscented product.

An old story

There will always be potholes along any highway. The brand you're using is well-regarded and the QC at St. Petersburg is satisfactory. They make and sell a hell of a lot of blades. This once, you could chalk it up to the luck of the draw. If I got stung again, I'd look for another source or switch t...

Of late ...

I'm really getting into my two Cadets, TP-24 and TP-26. The heft is right, their handles are long enough for me, and one head is OC and the other is with a safety bar. Mix 'n' match. :)

I like them at least as much as my Merkurs and all my other stockpiled goodies. =D>

The ax - Cadet TP 26 with closed comb
The blade - Israeli Blue x 3
The lather - Mike's Orange
The brush - V-L horsehair
Aprés le rasoir - A mixture of the last bits from Ogallala Lime/Peppercorn, some Pinaud Lime Sec, and a dash of the Captain's bay rum.

Three-pass of W/X/A-T-G. A BBS result. :D
