Great to see that the brand has been sold to someone who wants to take it forwards. As has been said, it's through your efforts that the brand lives on at all. Here's hoping that it will continue to be made in England. I'll be buying a spare pot of Tea Tree Cream, just in case :)

Some Lime Skin Food and a shaving scuttle. I actually wanted a mug, but that does now mean that I can pick up soap refills, and it's the thought that counts. :) Also got 3x Zirh Warrior Collection shower gels - they're so ridiculous, you gotta love 'em, especially when Santa is paying.

A ton of great suggestions, many thanks. I'm intrigued that people think of GFT Coconut as "not summery" - for me it smells exactly like sunscreen. A fine cream, no doubt, but almost the epitome of summer for me. Just two things to do now: 1. Decide which cream(s) to go for 2. Plan where t...

Winter creams

I only got into DE shaving in April of this year and most of the creams I've bought so far are floral or menthol. Nothing wrong with that, but as the days get shorter and colder, perhaps it's time to add one or two more woody or spicy creams to see me through the seemingly never-ending English winte...

Heading to NYC next week and can't wait to check this place out. Whether Mrs Kennel will be quite so keen remains to be seen. I might get away with it because we're on holiday... This will be my first trip to the US since I acquired the DE habit, so as well as visiting temples like Pasteur, I'd be v...

I was diagnosed aged 32, had gone in to see the doctor about something else altogether and he just gave me a quick check. Systolic was somewhere above 200, diastolic was 160 or something. Ten years away from a stroke, in his words. In retrospect, I'd been having the occasional hangover-like morning ...

Just bought a sampler pack of blades from Connaught, with a pack of Feathers in there. But working my way up to using them - from what I read on here, they seem to be the Holy Grail of blades!

+1 for the Irish Barber. The wife bought me a Futur for my birthday through amazon.co.uk and the amount of freebies that came with it was ridiculous! 3x TOBS creams, a Merkur travel razor, a Muehle brush, 30 blades... Don't think he'll be in business long if he carries on like that. Apparently we sh...

Hello from SE England

I've been lurking for a while now, so I thought that it was about time I said hello. Hello! I seem to have come to the world of DE shaving the same way many of us did. Was always happy with Gillette's newest and greatest-ever razor, but the Fusion was a step too far. Liked it at first, but soon noti...
