At least it was quick and merciful. Too bad. Here I am, still trying to figure out a way to pay the price for a bottle of EF. Since nobody's been taking my birthday, father's day, and Christmas lists seriously anyway, I guess I'll keep prowling around estate sales looking for a partially used bottl...

I received a response from Brian Kurtz and it is official, no Esprit de Lavande in the foreseeable future. It is a cruel cruel world we live in............ At least it was quick and merciful. Too bad. Here I am, still trying to figure out a way to pay the price for a bottle of EF. Since nobody's be...

FT: Soap/Cream/DE/Blades lot for....

I would like to trade all of the following for a new tub of Acqua di Parma cream. If you want this lot and don't have a new tub, you can just have one ordered to my address. Included is: GFT Trumpers Coconut Cream tub - used 2-3 times with spoon, so 98% or so remaining QCS Vetiver Cream - used once,...

I have an Eagle in best, which I think uses the same knot as the Chubby 1 (or very similar in density). It most certainly has more backbone than my Duke 3 (which I also love for other reasons). Personally I was unimpressed with the 2-band supers from simpson's, though admittedly I only owned the Gro...

I have this exact same one and am really pleased with mine as well. Totally unique hair that Lee has sourced for these brushes.

I just took a look at the Shavemac site and Bernd doesn't have this brush listed under their D01 line. Any idea how old the brush is? The flat top is a custom job and if you email Bernd asking for that type of loft he can make it for you in any handle. Wait till they break in the the brush performs...

WTT: Penhaligon's BB Tallow 1st and Unused Old Spice for....

I have a puck and bowl of Penhaligons BB Tallow first that I bought from Rudy Vey awhile back. He had used it a couple times and I've only used it once. As with the EdT, I just don't like the scent. I also have a puck and mug of vintage Old Spice that has never been used. I know it is a long shot, b...

I guess that maroon colour once before which reminds Royal Cars. Both of them look good to me but I have to see it with its knot. I think that 55mm loft in a three band with 60mm handle is a bold decision. The loft of the knot is the only thing that worries me. Hope it turns into a face lathering b...

....Definitely requires a different approach to loading and water ratios. Can you be more specific? Any suggestions? I just make sure it is loaded as much as I can and then face lather, adding water as necessary. It seems to take a bit more water than my other brushes and is quite the lather hog be...

I have a 24/42mm extreme flat top and it is second only to my Rooney 1/2 Finest.

Have had it for about 8 months and in my rotation I think it is still breaking in. Definitely requires a different approach to loading and water ratios.

Wow, wasn't expecting that at all for the handle stock. Really digging the horn/tortoise shell one.

Can't wait to see the knot, and like Ian, I'd love to see a bird's eye view to get an idea of the density. Would be great to see a pre-bloom and post-bloom shot of this.

Great job Mark!

Wedges are fun to shave with yet offer no real feedback other than a smooth face left behind.

I enjoy shaving with them and have many, but I love shaving with all grinds of razors.

Mark,

Is this Silvertip badger different than the current grades of hair you use in your offerings?

Call me impatient, but I can't wait for all the details to be hashed out. :D

I dont know how you snagged that brush. I swear I often look for vintage simpsons and never find them. Then, I see people post their ebay scores. It makes me very sad :( Let's just say I search the entire "shaving" section of eBay by new auctions daily. Usually all I buy are new straights...
