This was a special issue item and some people seek them out as a collectable. There were a few different versions that will pop up on eBay every so often.

I have a couple of the older models with bakelite handles and a few of the 1970's style with the long black handle. I like the style of the older models more but I find that they give a more aggressive shave, as the blade exposure is greater than with the more recent model. They require just a littl...

I don't believe that it's closeness per se, but I think a major cause is the hair being cut below the skin. This happens when the blade is dull and pulls the hair out slightly before it is cut, then the hair retracts below the surface of the skin. When it starts to grow, it can curl inward and becom...

This is one of those subjects which can go in a thousand different directions... A few general observations: 1. if using the mp3 player for activities like jogging, I wouldn't recommend a hard drive based unit, like an iPod. Go with a flash based player instead. No hard drive to rattle around, no sk...

Thanks Joel! If you do happen to have enough, please keep me in mind! I've been watching for a bowl like that for a long time but have yet to find one that I like the looks of as much as yours.

Great idea for a thread.

This outfit is located in Ottawa. I've shopped there in person and via the web, good to deal with and reasonable prices, although the selection of wetshaving supplies is rather limited. This is my source for Schick injector razor blades.

I've tried both of them (although some time ago now). As I recall, I didn't mind the Baxter but preferred the Gelskin. I didn't care for the Men-U much. Another face wash which I like is Biotherm Homme, but still not as nice as the Gelskin. It's a little heavier, and a little more fragranced. I have...

You should give the Gelskin a try. I don't like the CN scrub at all either, but the Gelskin is great. I've tried quite a few different types but always come back to the Gelskin.

I ran a "pot" of water through the Sunbeam Hot Shot tonight, just to check it out. It heated the water to boiling very quickly, probably no more than one minute. I could see the bubbles forming almost instantly. Although this would make less hot water than the Hot Pot, the amount made woul...

Here in Ontario, I found this at Wal-Mart but under the Procter-Silex brandname, also called the Hot Pot. Price was $19.99 CDN, which is a bit of a ripoff considering they seem to be available in the US for $10 USD. Wal-Mart also had an appliance made by Sunbeam called the Hot Shot, which is somethi...

Re: Gillette Complete Skin Care Products.

I have used the Gillette Complete moisturizer with sunscreen in the past, and found it to be sufficient for me. I notice that they now have a glycerine based bar soap, and a non-soap facial wash. Does anybody have any experience with these products? Seems like they may be a step in the right direct...

I always spray the fragrance into one hand and then rub my hands together, then I use my hands to massage it into my entire upper body, but primarily on my arms, chest and neck. I find that massaging it in like this increases the staying power of the scent and also makes it blend more with my body ...
