I've had one shedder. It dropped a few hairs every shave, and when I went to sell it, I wanted to make sure it was OK. Using thumb and forefinger, I reached into the knot and gently squeezed while I pulled out. (This was done quite gingerly and not at all aggressively.) I got a few hairs almost ever...

As the OP, I am amused at the direction this thread has gone. Speaking of MWF, does anyone predict that the Euro debt crisis will eventually create history's worst financial market crash? :D :P There is absolutely the possibility, but I am (perhaps foolishly) optimistic that those in a position to ...

After having given the matter some thought I'm coming down firmly on the side of Mercury. Well, let me say this about that. In 1994, I made a conscious decision to buy American instead of Japanese, and I bought a Mercury Sable. The next four cars I bought after that were a Toyota, a Nissan, and two...

Re: "Prep" Pre/Post Shave cream
And another question this time about prep cream Any opinions? any good? I have a jar of this--as well as a jar of Proraso Pre/Post Cream--and they are virtually identical. They both smell very strongly of menthol, reminiscent of Vicks. I use them both interchangeably strictly as preshave, and they ...

...i prefer the surface area of the brush not overly excessive. ...a 22mm knot that bloomed out to about 3 inches. it wasn't just ugly but the brush nearly covered all the side of my face and yet only held a quantity of lather equal to a 22mm knot. I totally agree, Gil. That's an excellent explanat...

I think that is pretty cool!werdna wrote:Smell. Out of the box it smells just like a well groomed horse. Not offensive to me. I had a Mahogany Bay as a child and quite frankly that is what I was thinking of while checking this thing out.
Nice review; thanks! A beautiful brush.

I'm somewhat surprised the forum software can't be tweaked to make it so anyone under 25 posts can't start a thread here. That might turn out to be a bit harsh, in practice. Anyone should be able to post with questions, comments, or wanting to buy something. Well, we have tried to upgrade stuff and...

I purchased the ebony handled brush, shown in the first picture, from Bullgooseshaving.net. The brush I was sent was faulty - the handle isn't properly put together (metal foot-piece and ebony piece are not uniformly sealed). I informed the vendor and was told clearance item = no returns. I underst...
