Re: I think I’m going to drink the peloton Kool-Aid

Gene covered a lot of great information, so I'll just add a couple of observations. We got one during lockdown, it was about a six week wait because we didn't go with the newest model (my perception was that the main difference from my point of view was that the resistance can be controlled remotely...

Clive - yeah, I think the idea to put "School Resource Officers" into schools did more to poison the relationship between cops and future adults than anything positive it achieved. I also think the protests are getting stronger as people around my son's age become adults and start asking q...

Nice to be here :D

I read quite a bit still, just rarely respond.

That's an article about abolishing the police. That's a different subject, as I mentioned.

Interesting read though. The author brings up defunding briefly to dismiss it. It reads to me like it was written to start a debate though.

Re: Guns

Chris, my son was assaulted by a police officer when he was in Middle School. I mean, my son was actually in the school, during the school day, on his way to class, playing with a friend of his, being a kid in middle school. We made a complaint and the officer apologised in the most unapologetic man...

Hi Dominique, If you haven't already I suggest you try the email links for Bill (Trumperman) and Gordon (Bernards66). Gordon's is a gmail address so he's likely still at least connected to it, and Bill's is Yahoo. Their email addresses come up when you click the speech bubble next to "contact&q...

Very Steampunk Sam. Nice find. Ideally you'd pair them with a low rise top hat.

Okay, I'm gonna be that guy.

Evolution does not state that man evolved from apes, but that man and apes share a common ancestor. Much like rhinos and horses.

Re: Nespresso v. Keurig

The Nespresso combined with it's companion frothing device (aeroccino I think) is probably the ideal solution for someone who wants to get as close as possible to a coffee house style latte/cappuccino without falling down the rabbit hole of spending infinite money on professional level grinders and ...

I recall Yul Brynner, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen and Robert Vaughn (guy with the cool black gloves is how I recall him. . .) There was the younger guy who followed them to the village, and someone else about whom I'll kick myself in a minute when I do allow myself to use Google. Now,...

I'll just leave this here, mostly out of mischief :D https://gfycat.com/ThoseFluffyJellyfish Here we have a passage of play in an English Premier League game. So, I see a red dot on the box, and the word Leica on the camera.
A fine looking phone, apparently not available in the USA.

Re: FYI....Leica and Android fans can rejoice!!!

I'm struggling to see what exactly Huawei can put in their cameras from Leica, without making the phone prohibitively expensive. A Leica lens in a phone camera seems unlikely. Or, that should maybe be a Leica lens in a phone camera under $1500 seems unlikely. Leica's going to “introduce its proven o...

Re: Miniscus tear and surgery

My wife (coincidentally an attorney) blew out her knee pretty comprehensively while skiing a couple of winters ago. She did several weeks of "pre-hab" before her surgery and then wasn't off her feet afterwards very much at all - the pre-hab took time out of her days, obviously, but she was...

Re: What is the best razor for shaving your head?

I have shaved my head with plenty of razors, including straights, GEMs, Feather Cobras, Merkur Progress, Feather two and three blade cartridges, Headblade, and Fusion (on Clive's recommendation). Fusion gives me the best head shaving experience. Head shaving (for me, obviously) is very different fro...

Re: Hair clippers and cutting your own hair

Corded are definitely the way to go if my experience is anything to go by - nothing adds to your style points like running out of battery power halfway through a cut :D , plus the corded ones have a bit more oomph. I shave my head daily now, but initially I would use my Wahl Balding clippers on a su...

Re: Target wants to hear from wetshaving enthusiasts

I was in Target the other day and, thanks to this thread, had a closer look at the men's shaving section. Just beyond the revolving display of the Fusion with the spring on the orange rubber cylinder was the little section of potentially useable products. Cremo Cream was the one that caught my eye, ...

I usually spend more time on my shaving kit for a trip than anything else, often ending up with the perfect compact toiletries bag and a case crammed full at the last minute with the wrong things. . . For carry-on I've arrived at the Feather F-II as my TSA acceptable razor that does both my face and...

at the risk of this thread not lasting, can you clarify this part please? Trayvon Martin was guilty as hell of what, and clearly a dirtbag because of what?
