Thanks guys. This 37G is one of my favorite shavers, and this'll help me keep it looking and working great.

I meant to say "spray with Scrubbing Bubbles," but the coffee hadn't kicked in yet.

What about cleaning your gold Futur, Squire? I haven't had the courage to spray my 37G with Scrubbing Bubbles yet, but want to do something for that inevitable soap scum.

FOUND a slant

I have become curious about the slant shave. Looking to buy, shorter handle style preferred (ala 37C).

Thanks!

Update: found just what I'm looking for. Thanks, SMF.

A piece of cake indeed. PM me if you don't like it. I plan on giving one to my father and brother.

I suspect, however, you'll be contemplating the sale of one or more of your other currently beloved razors.

The Cobra Classic is back in stock at CS. I happened to buy one from a forum member last week and have shaved with it twice. It has already moved to the head of the pack in my shave den. I do not find it to be an aggressive shaver at all. Just efficient, smooth, comfortable, and downright splendid. ...

Gary,

What kind of 3-band did Mr. Sabini use for that knot? He made a few brushes with leftover hair used in the Rooney Heritage brushes. But I think he has also made some with 3-band more akin to Rooney Super.

Beautiful brush, by the way.

Dave, how's the Cobra holding up? It's been a while since there's been any conversation on this thread. Is it a keeper, after you've been using yours for a few weeks now? Yes. Someone please fan these flames. Or throw some lighter fluid on them. Need to keep this going until CS has them back in sto...

After the fact, my vote goes to limes. I've had a chance to smell the range at a local vendor. I have not sniffed a puck of Eucris or O&G, though.

WTB - Ever-Ready Streamline

My recent experience with SE shaving has me searching for one of these in nice shape.

FS - Trumpers sandalwood soap (reduced)

Hi all, I have a couple items I'd like to clear from the den. Payment via Paypal, shipping within the US included. SOLD Santa Maria Novella Crema da Barba: $37.50 - It's hard for me to tell exactly how much is left, but I'd estimate at least 70%. For reference, the entire tub (including lid) weighs ...

The Perma Sharps in the cardboard box are excellent blades, Gary. Some of my favorites. I have been working through a box of Med Preps, which I won't be replacing. I like them, but not as much as I like some of the others I have tried - namely Perma-Sharps, Polsilvers, Feathers, Nacets, and some of ...

Right on, Brian. I used the OCMM this morning and had a terrific shave - smooth, no irritation, no nicks. It is definitely a keeper. Kind of hard to imagine how the Cobra could provide that much more enjoyable of a shaving experience, but I'm interested to hear from others that have used both.

I think I understand you - the Cobra shaves feel smoother and more comfortable, i.e., the face is happier with the shave. I see this is a very good thing. I haven't yet tried my OCMM, and I was kind of hoping someone would say the shaves are pretty close. Darn that price increase on the Cobra!

Thanks for the input. I'm a little perplexed, though. You say the Cobra provides a closer shave, but that it doesn't last as long as a SE or DE shave? Do you mean you can get the job done more quickly with the Cobra? If it's a closer shave (to me this means you cut the hair shorter), why wouldn't it...

I enjoy shaving with the R41, and I have been debating purchase of a Cobra for some time. But I am more curious to know how the Cobra compares to shaving with a Gem SE, like the open comb Micromatic. I have heard the OCMM is quite aggressive but provides a very close shave, much like the things I'm ...
