I'd seen that one mentioned a couple of times in another forum. If I could get one for free, or even pick it up at a clearance sale for a couple of dollars, wouldn't mind having one as a curiosity. It's interesting some of the clever designs out there for ultra-compact travel razors, when most regul...

So it's Friday, so what?
Schick Type A
Personna 74 blade
VdH luxury badger brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
Lots of soaps, and a constant rotation, so I don't use MWF more than once a week, but I think it really is my favorite.

A close shave, but a couple of little weepers, as I haven't used this razor in a while.

Schick Type A Magazine Repeater Personna 74 injector blade Turkish Horsehair brush Cyril Salter Lavender Soap The loading mechanism on this first Schick razor is a little tricky, but the shave is excellent. These Personna 74 blades are good enough, but don't quite live up to the hype so far. My chea...

Gillette Twinjector razor Gillette Twin Injector blade (8th shave) Bigelow Cream VdH Badger Brush The brush is the one from the VdH luxury kit. Much better than their boar brushes. I find that the Gillette injector is too mild with a normal single blade, but with these vintage twins, it's excellent.

. . . I purchased a few of the Schick injector blades made in China. Loaded it up, did my normal routine and shaved away. I must say that I was awfully impressed. Very smooth and efficient shaver. Hopefully I can get 3 or so shaves out of these blades. . . People report very different results, but ...

Making my vintage OS soap last.
One of the most pleasant soaps I have to shave with is my one puck of vintage Old Spice. Maybe the end result isn't any different from half a dozen or a dozen other soaps that I've tried, but the smell is pleasant (and rather subdued), and it's very easy to get a rich lather. Loading the brush once ...

Mileage varying
If the second shave was not as good as the first, I doubt it was the blade going dull that fast. The razor getting gunked up would be my first guess, or using a different angle without realizing it. I have several Es and Gs, and have found some variation in aggressiveness between them. It's possible...

I don't plan to make a habit of posting my daily shave, but since I'm new here . . . Hello from Connecticut
Hi everyone. Just joined here with a little admin assistance. It took a while to notice the thread about the problems with the automated signup method. Not new to wetshaving, and in fact, I've been posting on B&B and TSD for quite a while now. My username there, Slivovitz, has led to some misund...
