My one and only Arko stick was left out in the open air for about a month -- it did take the edge off the citronella, but it was still a little potent for me.

I prefer shaving every other day because of sensitive skin. My facial hair is a mix of light brown and blond, so we're not talking Fred Flintstone.... I doubt anyone's the wiser.

I don't have calipers, but my Emillion 2 (in 2-band) appears true to the stated measurements.

Let us know what you come up with!

Ew, Arko! Just kidding. Your tastes are your tastes. I think anybody'd find something on your list to quibble with because we're all different. Scent = somewhat subjective. Performance = open to ranking/ objective analysis. Just as long as you don't mean that your analysis is objective, because, we...

I keep a bottle of witch hazel in the fridge. I love the cold water rinse in the postshave routine and this is just a continuation of that, I guess.

I went on vacation in a soft water area recently and it disturbed me how quickly and effortlessly the lather was generated. Over here in Colorado I have moderately hard water, right smack in the middle of that range, so I can't really complain. Lots of product, but no real lathering issues. I ...

The writer and I talked on the phone for about an hour. I'm mildly annoyed that she hardly mentioned one of the main points I was trying to get across, that a lot of people just aren't happy with the shave they're getting. But, hey, any publicity is good publicity as they say. 8) Hey, your quote ha...

I enjoyed it. We shave geeks could find nits to pick in almost any article aimed at a mainstream audience, but I didn't cringe at all while reading it. Well, except for the argument about how men are now men, more manly than those sissies who came before, and that is why they (we) want to wetshave. ...

I use a witch hazel splash, then follow with a balm after it dries. I think the alcohol-containing WH (I used to use an alcohol-free version) has done a better job of preventing the occasional infected hair follicle. Not scientific at all, that's my personal experience. If it stings, I know there wa...
