I like Feathers they are one of my favorite blades, them and Kai's, personally use a blade max 3 times then I ditch for a new one, as to soldiering onward with a BNB, I have never had a problem with a new one, so cannot answer that for you. As to the redness, with a new blade? ease up on the pressur...

I would'nt even bother with their removal, IF your able to see rust, then so was the seller.
Return them would be my vote.

I very much doubt the weight would add up to anything worth the gas it would take to get to the local scrappy, only to find they would not be that interested.

I think if you had a couple of tonns of blades that would dramatically be worth it to you and also to the scrap merchant.

Thats an impossible one really, because there might always be the ONE found in that next pack of blades from a different maker that you might try.

I have some favorites but i would not stop the daily shave if they where gone all of a sudden, I would just move onward ansd use what was available.

You like the razor and shave quality ?? then personally cosmetics don't mean to much, that really is superficial, however IF the scratch bothers you that much, probably the only way to rid yourself of the scratch would be to buy another razor (same model) OR wet N dry sand it down then replate it. P...

Very nice Steve, like Bruce mentioned once you get that angle down pat, I think you'll find this to be an exceptional shaving tool.

Difference is one is a 3 piece (S3S) and the newer one is a swivle head like the Pils (SK9). Right, but I'm also talking about the difference between the H2O and the SK9 - how does the stainless cap of the SK9 change the balance of the razor compared to the aluminum cap of the H2O, if at all? Sligh...

I must agree with you on that one Bruce, it also transforms the razor.
Mine is on the R41 and it feels like a whole new animal.

Wow, I just purchased an ej 89, I may have to splurge on a Feather, if/when they become available. Thanks for the info. Steve The 89 EJ/Muhle is a great razor, but the build quality is not as good, thats not saying the Edwin Jagger and Muhle are no good, far from it, but the materials of the EJ and...

It could be an early Asthmatics medicinal inhaler, by adding hot water underneath in the lower vessel/urn? then by adding herbs to the top cup the aroma could be inhailed, by the infirm

OR it is more than likely a shaving scuttle lol.

How aggressive is this razor, say in comparison to Merkurs HD and the EJ's 89? Sure is beautifully made. Steve The Feather is not that aggressive, in terms of the word aggression, like a Muhle R41, although it does require a slightly different angle than most razors, yet it still delivers a BBS sha...

I own a Men-U synthetic brush, and although the synthetic hairs are straight, so in appearance it looks ok-ish? it does however work fantastically, it lathers up supremely fast and hold the lather for however many passes you want to make. I prefer Badger, but the Men-U is a great alternative for the...

It can be done, but with extreme care, I recently did a brush that the previous owner cut across the top, making it a Jar head haircut in appearance, what I did was using a piece of string, wound it from the base of the hair upwards towards the top, stopping at about 14mm from the tips of the hair,b...
