I completely agree. The blues are good blades, but they are definitely not SIs

The Sandalwood Rose sounds nice. If I were Michelle, I would try to stray off the path just enough. And I think the Sandalwood Rose is a good idea. For scents like Lavender and Sandalwood, there are plenty of excellent producers. I think producing something a tad different gives further reason to tr...

Excellent and informative review. While I enjoy soft soaps, I get tired of the plethora of "almond" scents out there. The TFS BN is a very nice change of pace, along with the RR XXX. And this sounds like a maker finally doing something different on the soft soap theme. Have you tried eithe...

Thanks Gareth for the info. I've been hesitant as I've heard nearly exclusively bad reviews. Your words are reassuring enough to try the latest run.

Thanks Gordon for the info. It seems most creams these days, and particularly those made by Pens and Floris, tend to be of that waxy toothpaste tube kind of material. I would be worried about it going rancid due to the high water content. I think that is a large reason why soaps are able to last so ...

I don't know if this helps at all, but I was at The Scent Bar in West Hollywood last week and the gentleman there told me they are having trouble getting the DC fragrance. The DC cream seems to go in and out of production. I've heard that the company will make it, but the amount required for an orde...

Thank you gentlemen. And Nathan, La Jolla isn't too bad at all, although San Jose is no place to complain about either

I know what you mean about the reformulation. There have been a lot of different reviews of the reformulated Pens soaps, probably reflecting tinkering with the formula. Notably that the more recent batches are better than the earlier veggie batches. I haven't tried the veggie ones, and have been tro...

Oh Pens, how you've discontinued so many fabulous products....

Does anybody know how old this tube is? Were they still making HB soap then too?

BTW, I heard a rumor that there is an English Fern cream in the works. I prefer BB, but I know EF has plenty of devout followers

Arko is known for 3 things: It's cheap price, its outstanding lather, and it's smell. Unfortunately the last one is a deterrent in light of the other 2. I actually experimented by adding fragrance to the soap. Now mine has an English Leather scent which is quite nice. If you leave the soap out it wi...
