Re: What led you to this?
My dad died before i started shaving, and long before the internet. So i tried to wet shave with the multi blades of the time, late 1980s and the disposable type. I looked like a train crash each time, so gave up and went electric. Mostly using Phillishave, then getting pissed at the downward spiral...

Re: Dad's old razor?
Quick update, been using the sticky for a week or so now and it's beginning to feel comfortable in my hands, was a little harsh at first. Also moved from the Palmolive to Arco for a change, so that probably didn't help matters either. But all in all, I reckon that was twenty five quid well spent :) ...

Re: Dad's old razor?
Hi guys, I finally managed to get my "new" sticky ultrasonically cleaned and then polished.
Took these photos today prior to its first use by me.
Wish me luck

Re: Russian Green Box 7 O'clock Blades, a Review
I use the Yellow 7 O'clock exclusively, bought 100 blades for £10 few months back and they should last me about 18 months at current rate of usage.
Can't fault them in any way, even when compared to Feathers, which I find blunt far quicker.

Re: Dad's old razor?
Got a photobucket account already, so will use that.
Not shaved with it yet, going to get it cleaned in an ultrasonic bath first, and chuck my Timor DE in at same time. Then take some pics and then enjoy using.

Just finished Ozzie Osborne's biography, what an amazing read, as the guys says himself, how is he still alive?
Very funny book, more than a little shocking at times, but very very funny.

Blade longevity?
Hi guys, Just a quick one this! Over this last few months, I have noticed that my Gillette 7 O'clock blades seem to be lasting a lot longer than they did. I used to be lucky to get three shave per blade, but now seven or eight is not uncommon. The record being twelve shaves. I suspect this is all do...

Re: In case you might have missed this ---
I don't know if, being a relative noob I am qualified to comment on that video. But I have to say, I found it rather odd shall we say! There aint no way I would ever attempt to shave at that speed, I just don't see the point of it to be honest. As for the shaving soap in a cloth, why? What is its ad...

As for giving up the BBS, if I don't do that, by midday my face is rubbing the crap out of my collars

Stealth Whiskers !
Hi guys, Ok, let me try to explain. When I shave along my jaw line and under my chin, I can hear the razor cutting the whiskers. But when it comes to getting the BBS finish, they seem to hide somehow. It's like they go into stealth mode ! As the razor goes ATG, for a few millimetres, it cuts the hai...

Re: Second Shave - Disaster
Well I tried a one pass shave yesterday and visually it looked quite presentable.
But the missus was not impressed, said it felt like a Porcupine
So, back to the normal routine it was tonight, I take my time, about 15 - 20 mins from start to finish, but it's MY time

Hope you persevere with it, it will all work out in the end, I was similar to you little over a year, and now I'd never think of going back to electric as I once used.

From the reply I got from them, they are just not going to make it any more due to lack of demand.
