Re: Facial wash/cleanser and moisturizing for sensitive skin

Chris I'm in much the same boat as you with sensitive skin. Somethings you can find locally are NIVEA Men Sensitive Face Wash and Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin. The Neutrogena is in the female section of the store. Both are inexpensive and are from quality makers. Another sensitive fac...

A DE shave story

I thought I would share my recent story of DE shaving. I call it DE shaving rather than wet shave because I have nearly always wet shaved but as my placeholder indicates I’ve been DE shaving since 2006. Back in 2014 I purchased a Jagger DE 89 to add to my two Gillette’s. When I received the Jagger I...

Re: Harrys Razor vs. Dollar shave club

I tried Harry’s blades & gel several times. I found that the gel was drying and irritated my face. So I stopped the gel and returned to Nivea for sensitive skin. As far as the blade and handle I loved the handle and found the blades very sharp but not long lasting. Eventually I stopped using Harry’s...

Re: Is SMF losing its vigour?

I still stop by occasionally. I think that that the site like most of us have found our rhythm. I retired about 2 y/o and went on a crusade to purchase every DE at every estate sale in my area. I now have a box of razors that need to be cleaned but I have no motivation to clean them. Different inter...

Dr Moss

Are there hospitalist's that can take over the 10% freeing up your 90% of stress? Or are you too far out in the boonies for hospitalist?

Sorry for the mix up. I had sent you an email with my paypal info but you didn't get it. This new SMF2 site is really not very good-PM's are messed up.
Razor will go Monday-USPS first class. I'll email you the tracking info as soon as it goes.

Thank you
Tom

Wendell: You were in the neighborhood and didn’t even stop for a “Blue” or a Canadian. I like the Eastview, it offers a better overall shopping experience then my local Galleria.

Last time I checked PA doesn't tack on a “ being naughty” tax on their cigars when shipped. Consider Cigars International from Bethlehem PA

Re: Etiquette and the modern day

Well the Royal Air Force taught me hats off indoors, so that's what a I do. I don't wear a hat except when in uniform anyway, but it's a shame to see basic manners like this go the way of the dinosaur. On another note, I was very surprised last week when visiting a mess at RAF Coningsby how many se...

Re: Sirrius XM radio

Sam: If your question is regarding the value of an XM/Sirrus subscription I'll leave that up to you and your banker. But if the question is regarding the traffic-NO it's not worth it. Unless Memphis traffic is really bad and is included in the subscription don't bother. I use to travel 30-35,000 mil...

Re: Jagger DE89L vs. Mekur 34

Tucker I did the same thing that you did by putting a Derby into my Slim and opened her a little more (to 7 from 4) and experienced a great shave. Derby’s for me have always been just a little too light-weight for my beard. But by changing up the adjustment I had a great shave. I have another thread...

Re: Revaluation

I’ve been wet shaving since the beginning of time and I became involved with DE’s a few years ago. I’ve shaved with DE’s on and off but something always came up time wise that made it impossible to stick to the DE. I’m nearing retirement and am taking it easier so I have more time. I have a ’49 Supe...

Jagger DE89L vs. Mekur 34

I know that this may split the group greater the then Big Three did to Europe after WW2 but I'd like some advice. I have two vintage Gillette’s a SS and a Slim. I’m interested in either the DE89L or the Mekur. I’m looking for something new- something a more aggressive as a daily driver. I'm looking ...
