Re: Jagger DE89L vs. Mekur 34
My experience is with Merkur. I started with the 34C, which has a short handle which I prefer but, of course YMMV. The same head is on a different model (number escapes me) but a longer handle. I liked the 34C but eventually got a 37C (slant bar) which works better for me. Both of my sons have EJ ra...

Re: My Experience With KAI DE Blades
Wow. I went through many blades in my 37C slant before settling on Kai. This is either a single bad blade or an extreme example of YMMV with blades. I find them as sharp as Feather but smoother and longer lasting. Please report on your next attempt with a fresh Kai.

Re: kai blades
I spent about 7 months working through many de blades and decided on Kai for my first 100 blade purchase. I find them as sharp as Feather but smoother and longer lasting.I use a Merkur slant (37 C) and get really smooth, comfortable and close shaves.

Re: Mike's Natural Soaps
I have only used Mike's lavender once and enjoyed the scent. The performance is top tier, maybe the best glide of any soap I have tried. All his soaps leave your face feeling great.

Re: Kai double edge blades
After 8 months of experiment, Kai is my favorite blade. I find them smoother and longer lasting than Feather. I get 5-6 comfortable BBS shaves with my Merkur 37 C (slant). I highly recommend anyone to try them. Of course, with blades, YMMV

Re: New shaving soap from Penhaligons
My sister in law brought me a bowl of Sartorial from the Penhaligon shop in London. I never used their older soaps but I do use D.R. Harris Arlington. This lathers at least as well ( only used it once so far) and the scent is nice. I am not sure it justifies the price - much higher than Harris - may...

Re: The Fat @ A Reduced Price For A Limited Time
I certainly didn't mean to imply that I had any problem with MWF. In fact, I love it and am able to lather it with no problem - I face lather it - and the scent is fine. I just happen to be a guy who enjoys more fragrance in my soaps/creams which is why I also use Harris soaps and TOBS, Trumper and ...

Re: The Fat @ A Reduced Price For A Limited Time
Thanks. I have Harris Arlington soap which is terrific. If MWF had that scent it would be perfect.

Re: The Fat @ A Reduced Price For A Limited Time
I bought a puck but added to it (D.R. Harris lavender stick and a 5 pack of super irridium blades) both of which I wanted to try anyway, to save the shipping cost. Their turnaround was great. I would guess many would add to the MWF also - $5 to ship a $9 order wouldn't make sense. Only takes $25 wit...

Re: D.R. Harris Marlborough soap
I love Harris Arlington, have not yet tried the others. FYI, Garry's Sample Shop sells half-ounce samples of Arlington, Windsor and Marlborough soap. He is very good to deal with.
