Re: Review: Stirling's "Glacial Obsidian" Shave Soap

A wonderful and super-frigid soap with a lovely scent, easy to lather and great post-shave care.

Re: Review of River Valley Trading Chapmunk shaving soap

Hi Gary,

The Williams stick was discontinued a couple of years ago but River Valley Trading stocks the Roseline soap which is a good take on the scent of the Williams stick that was also rosy. This Chapmunk is fantastic and so are all the other RVT soaps I have!

Re: Review of River Valley Trading Roseline shaving soap

I guess it helps with either the lather or the skincare.

Review of River Valley Trading Chapmunk shaving soap

This is another wonderful South African-made soap! Ease of lathering: 10/10--One of the easiest latherers I ever saw! Longevity of lather: 10/10--Perfect stability! General skincare: 9/10--So soothing and gentle. A bit of a cooling effect as well. Also contains chamomile. Scent: 8.5/10--Lovely spear...

Re: Camel Milk Soap

I find that any soap with a lot of olive oil is unduly difficult to lather but it has positive sides too. The skincare is excellent.

Re: Review - Edwin & Jagger Cooling Menthol

Me too, I can't say that the scent really wows me. It's ok, but the lather and the menthol effect are great.

Re: OSP - Obsessive Soap Professional - UK

An excellent soap. Great lather in no time with a very nice citrusy scent and plenty of menthol goodness.

Re: Cool Cologne Lather Shave Cream

This cream lathers very well, but I'm not a fan of the scent. The menthol effect is very subdued so I only notice/noticed a minimal cooling sensation. The skincare to me, is lacking.

Stirling Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic shaving soap

Yesterday I received a lovely gift in the mail from two wonderful friends. It's the new limited edition Stirling Glacial MITA soap which is a hyper-mentholated version of the regular version. All I can say is "Rod, you out-did yourself. You are pure genius!" Here is my review of it: Ease o...

Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo shaving soap

Here's my review of the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap which I recently bought! I had been told so many times about the world-renowned Sharp Dressed Man soap, and the Green Irish Tweed fragrance. I must say that if this is what Sharp Dressed Man and GIT smell like they are both beautiful. The Eskimo Tux...

Longevity of lather: 10/10--Perfect, perfect stability. General skincare: 7.5/10--Fair in that aspect. Not the most moisturizing ...

Another great buy from Italian Barber - let me tell you a few things about it! Ease of lathering: 10/10--Awesome. Rich, creamy lather in no time! Longevity of lather: 10/10--Perfect stability so multi-pass shaves are no problem. General skincare: 7/10--Not as moisturizing as I'd like, but still dece...
