Re: THE Best Soap, Period.

Did someone say “Woolfat”??

I may not have been very active for some time on this forum, I continue to feel the love for the magical “Fat”.

Yes it takes some getting used to at first, but patience has its rewards with this soap.

None like it in my mind.

Re: Holiday Greetings

We had the kind of Christmas we needed this year. We had been away for our annual holiday to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was cut short by the sudden, yet not fully unexpected, passing of my older brother. We literally didn't go out for anything - not even groceries. We did at least 8 puz...

Re: Sad news here

What a tragedy. These stories of the military turning on one who served with such loyalty are told far too often. For every one individual who is "cared for" there are many who have been ignored for reasons beyond me. Like many others, please accept my condolences at this tragic and possib...

Re: Cataracts

My wife recently went through both eyes - with her second surgery a couple of weeks before Christmas. Other than having to use reading glasses, she is over-the-moon with the results. Having said that, the surgery doesn't correct floaters, and she did have a bleed at the back of her first surgery whi...

I’m thinking use because they didn’t gain enough points from their qualifying group stage??? 😉

Unfortunate for Italy fans I’m sure.

+1 on Fendrihan. Haven’t bought anything in a store front since my last purchase of Palmolive classic shave sticks at Tesco on one of our trips to the UK well ahead of Covid circa 2017 if I recall correctly.

Re: Gillette Silver Blue vs Platinum

Was cleaning out my office and found a bunch more supply that I didn’t realize I had so so good for the foreseeable future. Nice find. It was - especially since in realizing the manufacturing country, I am not sure I'll purchase more in the future so nice to have a bit of a stash for a few more mon...

Hi Wendell! Availability of the Gillette Silver Blue blades is apparently not a problem, according to Amazon and Ebay. Go get 'em! :D Thanks Gary -- I have always procured from Fendriahan.ca and never gave thought to procuring through Mr. Bezos ....... Fendrihan are an excellent Canadian supplier, ...

Two weeks in Mahone Bay? What the hell did you do? Spend all day talking to the rich folk the rest of us bluenosers dislike? :D Next time come and visit. Hope you like curry, as with a vegetarian wife I have had to develop a particular style of cookery. I used to work quite a bit in Halifax just be...

Guilty as well for veering away from the forum. Excuses have already been noted by others already -- and I would fall into the category of not making this a priority. Bruno - allow me to add to the words of condolences from others at the loss of your wife. I can't imagine how you feel nor what speci...

Gillette Silver Blue vs Platinum

Good morning gents. Yes I know it's been donkey's years since I have been on the forum. Life had become quite busy for some time and forum surfing was simply something I couldn't invest in. Quick question for you blade aficionados. I have been a Silver Blue man exclusively for quite a few years now,...

Yup -- used it this morning as a matter of fact. It's actually as good as the old, imo. Better lather then the old cake I replaced, but that was about 7 years old.

Highly recommend it.

Re: Matching soaps & creams with most effective brush fibers

I only face-lather and I find the Kent BK4 an excellent brush for lathering. As far as I’m concerned, the shavemac 3-band silver tip, Simpson (Colonel) best badger, Muhle silvertip, Semogue 3-band silvertip, VP Leonhardy 3-band silvertip and other similar brushes are excellent for face-lathering. O...
