Re: D.R. Harris and TOBS that I want to try.
I have the D.R. Harris Rose cream. Nice scent and a good performer. Only issue I have is that he arrived semi hard, like a soft soap. Taylors Rose cream, same as above. Nice cream but arrived semi hard. Taylors Almond cream, nice texture and performance, but smells too sweet for me. Nowadays I stick...

New Schick Krona
So far my impression is that the Krona is a gentle smooth razor. I think there is an adjustment period for me coming from a Merkur HD. Results on the cheeks have been very smooth. Only problem area I have is on the neck and below the chin. I do a one pass shave N-S. I might need to do a second pass ...

soaps with no container
How do you guys store and use soaps with no container? I recently ordered a few. I could just hold it in my hand and load the brush, and then store them in ziplock containers. Or I could load them from the ziplock container. I like using a nice bowl, it adds to the experience.

Re: CRUX shave soap
CRUX Supply Co. in PA. I googled them and they have a line of shaving products. It's not a high end soap, but for $10, I figured it was worth a try. And I am happy with it.

CRUX shave soap
Ordered this soap from Charles last week. Tried it yesterday. This was my first small soap, 2.5 inches in diameter and I also bought a 3 inch wide metal bowl to use with the soap. The soap had no noticeable scent at all, see Charles' description on his werbsite. Where this soap takes off is in the l...

QED shave soaps
I ordered two of the new soaps. Vetiver and Lime, and Mint Zest. The ingredients in these soaps are listed on Charles' website, and they are loaded with lubricants. I could easily pick up a citrus scent in both soaps, along with the vetiver. I would describe the scents as mild. The lather was very s...

Re: Getting a new razor
I also splurged a bit and bought a Bolen Weber triple trac razor. It's such a nice looking razor. Blades are about $3 each but I figure I'll use it only once or twice a week to save on blade expense.

Re: Getting a new razor
Got my Shick Krona and tried it today. It came in very good condition. Used but in great shape. I loaded it with a new Hospital Prep blade which is a fairly aggressive blade for me. I immediately noticed how light the razor was and I had to be careful not to use too much pressure. I had the thought,...

Thanks guys. What do you all think of the Weishi razors ? I like the idea that they are milds, TTO, and cheap.

Getting a new razor
I am thinking of getting a new razor. I have an Edwin Jaegger and a Merkur HD that I like well enough, but I want to treat myself to a new razor. I have tried a Merkur Progress that I thought was too aggressive for me and it was bulky. I like a smaller razor, easier to maneuver. I know very little a...

organic coconut oil as aftershave balm
I am trying this out after shaving and at night when I hit the bed. it definitely gives a nice soft, moisturized feel. I know they use this oil in the better shave creams like Trumpers. I found it for $13.00 a tub at Whole Foods.

Re: razor burn....please help
Yes, it's an allergic reaction to food. Probably raw shitaki mushrooms, possibly strawberries. I am trying out Organic Coconut Oil to sooth it and moisturize it. Heck, that's what they use in a lot of shaving creams.
