Re: How to sanitize used razor and brush?

I use barbicide for all my brushes and razors.

For cleaning plated razors I use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, its very gentle.

suggestions for long hair?

Hi... I would like some advice on what hair products to use for long hair. In the past I used to have longer hair but it was curlier or wavier and I used mousse or I flat ironed my hair. I had a long shag haircut. Right now I have a somewhat shorter haircut, but still long by most men's standards. I...

Re: razor burn....please help

I use Oxy pads on razor-burned skin, the salicylic acid has a calming effect. I think there's also a Tend Skin product for razor burn and bumps that has the same ingredient.

Re: BIC 1 Sensitive single blade disposables

I've been using these a lot. I would recommend them, rather than a DE, to a wet shaver who is interested in getting more comfortable shaves. They will not shave as close but they are great for sensitive skin. I also use the Gilette Guard. It's a tossup which I like better. Guard doesn't shave quite ...

Re: Refrigerating an aftershave balm

I refrigerate shave balms and cream for long term storage, I have for years. I keep a small collection and if I didn't do this, stuff would go bad eventually.

I have some Proraso that has been in the fridge for years and it is just like new.

Re: Brylcream, A Little Dab Will Do Ya

I use a tiny amount as a hair conditioner in the winter. Great stuff. One bottle seems to be lasting forever.

Re: Is The Schick Hydro Better Than The Injectors?

I've been using a Chinese-made injector recently, it's a clone of the Schick M. I have a tendency towards irritation on my neck. The shaves are not quite as close as a DE but that may just be my technique If you find yourself dry shaving to touch up, might I suggest an inexpensive, battery-powered B...

Re: Hello all, so tired of electric, need to change!

I would start with a disposable single-blade razor like a Bic Sensitive and some Cremo or other brushless creams. This will teach you good techniques but without too steep a difficulty. Preparation is important. You should shave after a shower or really washing down your face very good . You don't h...

greetings from Central Florida

Hi... I'm not a new wet shaver but I have been away for several years. I got IPL and laser hair reduction several years ago but it was not a complete course of treatment. It did reduce my beard density but in time many of the hairs grew back. I used to have a heavy beard, now its somewhat lighter. I...
