Re: New "Black Label" injector blades from Supply?
2nd shave today and the same results: shaves like a Personna to my face. I am not going to say anything more to Supply as I am sure they already know. Didn't they get a cash infusion from a "Shark Tank" investor? Oh well, I never thought their injector razor was a good design anyway. Too b...

Re: New "Black Label" injector blades from Supply?
I just received an 8 pck. mag of these Black Label injector blades and am one shave in so far. Supply refuses to say who makes these for them and in an e-mail went so far as to say only their CEO knows the source. :^o The first shave was with the new B&M Omnibus base soap so I did all I c...

Re: gillette platinum (swede) / new version ?
Gillette does not IMO make a bad DE blade today. The only one that is not spectacular IMO is their PPI Russian Sputnik blade that is perhaps a rung under the others, but still gives a decent shave. Even the lowly Gillette 365 blade made in India is superb. I recently got 100 for under $10 shipped fr...

Re: Williams Mug Shaving Soap is still horrible
I have zero trouble lathering modern Williams, but I use a synthetic brush which makes it much easier.

Gillette Platinum Blue Box
By Blue Box I mean these which are as of now only available in Europe and you need to order off Ebay such as I did to get some: https://i.imgur.com/UTYLWmO.jpg Some reviewers were saying that these were smoother than the regular Platinum that has been available for years. Re: Schick Proline B-20
You will have to disgorge them one blade at a time and then load each one into an empty injector magazine. It's easy. You just have to be smarter than the razor.

Gee, I'm sorry I tried to offer merely a pointer on how to make this soap work. I'm done.

Williams Redux
I use Glycerin to lube razor threads and also TTO mechanisms. On a whim I used a French formula for improving shave soap, but with a current made puck of Williams shave soap made in the USA. The biggest complaints against this modern version are that it can be a SOB to lather and lacks glide. I cut ...

Re: Tabula Rasa
pausted gifted me a small container of this and it is a superb vegan soap. It is very much like Sudsy Soapery vegan soaps IMO. These are two vegan soaps that bridge the tallow "gap" in performance IMO. The secret is to bowl lather as pausted said with these soaps and use very little water ...

I have the soap and AS, but I find that the days between usage are further & further apart as the extremely powerful & lineal scent becomes overbearing.

Not the G Model IMO.brothers wrote:My main issue with injectors, any brand or vintage, has been that they're all too mild and leave stubble. I haven't tried this new one. Maybe the next version will be quite a bit more efficient in removing whiskers.

I have a regular Tuxedo and also the fan shaped Tuxedo knot as well. It is the best synthetic knot money can buy now, bar none. I favor the fan shape as I face lather.

...As for carbon steel blades, Treet Dura Sharp blades (PTFE-coated carbon steel) are among my favorites. I prefer carbon steel for knives, as well. - Murray PTFE on baldes is new technology (post WWII) as was the Personna 74. That was what I was describing. I have used many Personna 74 blades and ...

Re: For curiosity; Wilk sticky
How the razor positions the blade is critical, and I think improvements have been made. I think an Edwin Jagger is more effective than most old Gillettes, and my Mergress (not as new as the EJ) certainly is. Gillette's design of adjustables was inherently flawed by the fact that they couldn't raise...
