Maybe try just a dab of Mink Oil, or Neatsfoot Oil, say on one finger, and dab onto the strop in about 3 - 4 places, then use the palm of your hand and rub into the leather, you don't want to saturate the leather by any means, just work the dabs into it, then evaluate the results, and maybe repeat a...

Actually I prefer either a full wedge, to 1/4 hallow, then full hallow, of course this is only my opinion [-X I seem to be able to shave better to the contour of my face, without having any weepers, I like the smooth glide feeling the 1/4 to full wedge gives. I made a purchase using Pay Pal to pay, thank Gog, they never sent item, never returned any messages from me, or from Pay Pal, after I filed a fraud case with Pay Pal.
Finally Pay Pal refunded me, but to save all my friends bad news problems in shave land out there, Do Not Buy from them stay away.

Got this razor today, and just couldn't resist had to give it a try. Smooth as bloody silk, clean cutter, very nice shave.

Here is the razor I used this morning, W&B 8/8, 1/4 hallow, gave a super smooth shave, holding blade angle very low, or almost flat, spine is 1/4 thick. \:D/

I used a Dorko "Premier" 1/4 grind, it was one of the best shaves I've every had, was totally stoked with it, I received it yesterday =D>

Lynn Abrams on YouTube, in address giving in your thread starter, is the best answer, I've ever seen, I tried it works great, only thing I have changed, since I don't have a half dome hammer, is I used a regular small ball peen hammer. =D>

What was supposed to be a 5-6 week wait to receive my UFO Zeus handle has turned into 11 weeks and counting. Juan told me that the new lead time is 10-12 weeks.
